Barry M Haul / Review

As some of you cuties now, I do love the high street brand , found in most boots and super drug stores. Barry M. I saw that they have a few new products that clearly needed to be tried and tested. I raised an eyebrow to the new lipstick liquid to matte kits. As you all know I adore a good liquid matte, so had to give that a whirl, while I was at it I picked up my normal Barry M make up items and thought why not throw together a haul/ review on them...
So lets check out the items and my over all thoughts on what I think of them.

Drug store make up - impressions

So I got a few items of make up from a product haul that are mainly high street drug store ones. Mainly being good old barry M and NYX from boots. I put in a order as I was needing to stock up on some basics and needed to save on some money as I wanted to buy some more Jeffree star products. Jeffree Star is my got too indie brand but more on that later.

So I got hold of some products foundation and foundation powder from barry M which I used as my every day make up for Kawaii mummy mode. I not got time to waste my good make up on the school run and not fussed to much if it lasts all day or not. I use different foundations for different things . So I got my typical shade and a slightly darker one in the liquid as I seem to have tanned in this Scottish weather. Wait what? So that's the basic stuff out the way , I also got 2 items on the offer that was one.

One is a HUGE bronze powder and one is a strobe cream thing. The glow bronze powder is basic simple to use and the shade is pretty and gives a nice glow. I like to use it when I don't have much time for a full face and it does the job.

The strobe cream stick . I wanted to like it. But I hated it, It fell off the stick when I opened the lid off. I managed to save it and yea its nothing much I was really disappointed in it that product I thought it was gona be good but no its in the bin. Never mind.

Next up the the brand NYX that was from boots online too. I got a eye concealer, I wanted to get rid of those dark eye designer hand bags but found this to be super heavy on my 1st try and it made more creases under my eyes so I will give it a other go but am not to impressed with it. Update. I have reused this now but again getting the same issues however its been better to use this as a cover up concealer for those sneaky blemishes that have surfaced of late.

The other thing I got that is NYX  was the tango with bronzing powder , which is a fancy compact and I got the one in the animal print style powder- yest that was a selling point for me . Its a nice product I have used is a fair few times now. However I found it way to dark in the pink/peach shade that I found it became more of a glowing blusher for me . But I do love the dark pink/ peach shade its very pretty. It came in a normal sided pan and had a mirror in the compact with the brush inside. Handy for on the go!

I also got a Illuminator highlight product from NYX as I was mega worried about my Jeffree star  skin frost being broken due to a issue of a bunch of orders being dropped on the delivery side of things. So I thought I would get a back up and also all the shades I wanted sold out in like 10 mins so I thought this would work until I saved up for more JSC.

So I got the shade Riualistic- which has a golden sheen . Its very pretty and has a nice pay off in colour and I rather like this also the fact that its not crazy in price either and would say the pan is about a normal size. I think its a nice back up product to use or a spare . Or a nice starter highlighting product if you are new to highlighting. I did however find it a little chalky and had to blend it right in/

Finally I got a new setting spray, I normally use Neves own one, but I ran out and wanted to try a new one for a change and got the NYX  matte one. I have used this a handful of times . I often forget to use my spray which is why its only been a few times of using this but so far I quite like it. I used it on a 5K fun run with inflatable objects to climb over and after doing that and till the end of the day my make up was still in one place ,not much was on to being with as I was doing this event and didnt want panda eyes or anything haha.

So this is my mini haul of items and my thoughts on them I know NYX themselves state to be animal cruelty free but their mother company is not. Which kinda sucks but hey ho I do try my best to find more affordable animal cruelty UK brands that I personally like. Barry M is a animal cruelty free company.

Fluffy nail art...Kawaii

Hey there you cutie's.
I hope you all had a great weekend, I had such a busy one that am so tired, I need to catch up on some 'ZZzz'z' but I sure did have some fun. Today I wanted to find this cool and fun
nail art effect, there is a lot on the market and in high strret brands in the shops but I saw this and was like ''Kyaa its so Kawaii!''
I used my BarryM nail polish for my night out at the weekend so I still had it on when I got this magical little tub of Fur-effect nails by MUA which was about £3-5 ( cant mind of the top of my head the price- as I got 2, and 2 new polish's.)

It comes in a little tub .

You can add it to your nails,as it says on the back with the shaker seen here in the above photo.

Or you can take the shaker part off and paint your nails and ''sprinkle'' the fluffy fur on it.

I found that I had to really pack it on my freshly painted wet nails to fully cover the nail and by placing a sheet of paper under my hands. I could catch the fur that escaped as it was a bit messy with fur every where!!

I have BarryM Dragon Fruit shade on underneath.

As you can see at first they are super furry but they lost their puff as I didnt push the fur into the wet polish to well, But I since washed my hands many a time, run a bath, dishes and lots of cleaning and the fur is still on! Not only that but its still super soft to touch too.

So am really impressed, I got this hot pink fur in colour and a cotton candy one too!
I cant wait to try that one out too!
Hope you like my fur-tastic find for new nail art fun!
Till next time!

Make- up review~ Japanese or UK make- up?!

Hello there Cuties! Hope you are all well and ready for this review.
I for some time been wanting to but some Japanese make up as well as some Korean make up too,
Maybe its all in my head but I wanted to compare the brands with each other and see if it is worth it to buy the other brands from over sea or not.

So far I have only 2 lip tints form a Korean shop which I use  more a less every second day. Am a huge make-up junkie anyway and want to try over-sea make up.
I also wondered if by using over seas make up if it would improve my skills and create more Japanese styles in make up or look more doll like.

So I bought 2 eye palette's one new form Barry M ( Natural Glow.)as you all know I adore Barry M make-up and a Japanese make up palette called Kanebo Lavshuca melty hearts. This is my 1st comparision review so please be gentle on me, nya!

As you can see the item is well  displayed. It has a nice selection of colours to pick from to create a natural  glow in eye make up with a Blusher too . The pressed eye shadow takes a wee bit of rubbing to get a good amount on the applicator but the blusher was easy to use, I think its cause the shadows are in small spaces.
Here is a photo of the eye make up with my own eye-liner and mascara which I have kept the same when I used the other make up too.

I have to say I am slightly disappointed on the colours from BarryM this time as normally the colour's are great, this palette colours where far to light for my personal liking even the darker shades.
I think using a wet brush might help with these colours but I was planning to use these more for my casual days and everyday but I think I will not use it as much as I was hopping.
However!
The lightness of the colours is still very good for beginners and for making your eyes look larger but the dark colours will not be the best for making shadows.
I shall be sticking to the Trio colour pallet from now on!!

Moving on the Japanese Palette Lavshauca.
Here are some Photos of the Packaging of the product.

The Palette is cute, but its tiny! Which put me off the applicator also was a bit fiddly I picked some natural shades, this one has some lights and darks in more browns it was had to find something to match BarryM  completely. As you can see you don't get a Blusher or as many colours but you got this stunning red.

Again the Colours were very light but they seemed to have a better pigment which was good for both highlighting and shadows. The Red was a nice touch but you could easily by a red eye shadow to use.
The colours were hard to use with the given applicator - so I used my own brush for the red to line it more than blend. Maybe I was being a bit light handed with the shades.

Overall thoughts...
I do love BarryM , I really do but this product, is not for me personally,I do like the overall look and display of the item. The Japanese one was really small which was a bit annoying.
However I would say that I much prefer the Melty Hearts out of the two products for the colours pigments.
Even the price can't sway me even though Barry M was Cheaper I still am picking Mety hearts over it , the price was more thanks to shipping.
My thinking is for doing Japanese make up find a brand you like and find the basics of doing Japanese styles, like creating bigger eyes I think that the Japanese brands might be slightly  better for these sort of styles as they are trendy over there and wanted.Where over here we are not after that sort of look ( Just yet.) I think if you can master the basics of make-up and styles then any good make up will work on your benefit. This would not stop me form trying more Japanese brands and make up even Korean makes though!
(Teehee!)

Magical Nails, BarryM review.

Hello Cuties! Hope you are all well and staying super cute ,I am sure you all are!
So I have a review on some new polishes for you all these are from BarryM, My most loved brand for nail polish ever hehe.
Just of late they have brought out these sparkly pretties out and there is a few to pick from as well. I bought 3 of them and really want to get the other one.

You can get these in Duchess ,Princess , Lady , Countess and Majesty. I got the following Duchess the golden shade, Princess in the pink shade and Lady or pear white is called, in the white shade. They were also on a 3 for 2 offer when I went in Boots.
I love how magical anime princess like these shades are...to cute!

These are from the textured range, so when they dry the polish has some texture on the nails.
These shades are so cute! They come in the well recognised polish bottles that BarryM do.

Here on the ring finger is the Princess colour against the Duchess,The Princess is pink in colour and very girly I think its name is very fitting!

Here is the Duchess with the ring finger with Lady,I love the white one as it looks very Christmas like and reminds me of frosty snow outside its very pretty on and it was this shade  that I really wanted to buy. The Duchess is a mature shade of matt colours of dull pink, I cant quite pick out its shade it looks golden or nude brown with a hint of pink!?  Its a nice shade that I could wear when ever I want to get  a hint of sparkle. Cant keep a girl from some Sparkle right ?!
The Glitter also is a range of big and small particles. They need about 2 coats to get a nice shade and coverage and dry really fast.I think the lady and princess ones are my favourites. The only down side  about these is it takes a while to remove all the glitter and sparkles off...
Please do check out Barry M more so on the facebook page as they have a game you can play where you can win prizes and discounts!

I hope you all enjoyed my magical nail review on these pretty nail polishes!
Till next time..

Barry M review

I spoke of Barry M cosmetics before, the reason i like these products is cause they are NOT tested on animals  like other brands so I don't feel so guilty,I like other brands too because the good but really that is not the best excuse...so maybe I could look into swapping all my stuff to BarryM.
So I put in a order via the web site,I do have a local store that sells Barry M but they never seem to restock often so I bought from the web site here.

Kiss Kiss Chu

It may be cause I am wearing some lip stick to day,but  felt the need to to Blog about cute lippy.
Personally I love lots of bright red pillar box shades, but I also like to venture out and try other colours too.
-its fun trying new looks too-
I think its a bit of trail and error when it comes to lip sticks and make up,but as a nice simple rule to keep in mind if your wanting to show off the eyes then use a light/pale colour on the lips and the other way round bright lips and natural/light eyes. Some times it can be done with both or look a bit well daft (silly) like.

I like the cute doll like look with make up,so when i use that sort of make up style I will pick pale nude shade or rose like pinks with a hint of shimmer .I like to add a clear gloss over the shade to make it look fresh and sweet looking and or doll like.

Bonjour Bourjois! (part one)

Okay this could be a really Kawaii Girly Blog here so I did warn you Also is done in Parts as I may ramble on a bit how much I love My make up and love to be creative with it too.

So Make up,the art of using products to highlight your features.I love make up and have a few preferred brands such as my all time love of Bourjois for many reasons,I like a bit of BarryM for vibrant colours mostly the powder pots for eyes,Rimmel I have been trying out and Maybelline too but I find most of my Make up is full of Bourjois.
So it can be a task each morning trying to apply make up with a 16month little Bean running about in Pjs but I seem to have got it to a art by distracting Miss Bean with my box of Nail polish (all sealed tight.) which she takes them all out then puts them back or give her my clean make up brushes so she can play portend make up with mummy.

So why do I favour Bourjois? Well yes it is a little more expensive that the off the shelf cheaper shop own brand but its not a stupid over the top price either so its got that,The package and design is also compact and pretty, even with this aside is all about the quality!
I've ran out of my foundation the healthy mix one which I adore so using up my Maybelline Dream Matt mouse but liked the feel of the Healthy Mix on my skin as the the Dream Matt is a bit paste and heavy to apply so favour Liquid foundations best.
But here is the make up I am using at this time as you can see that with the almost finished pots I may need to go shopping for more Bourjois goodies!
These are the Eye shadow pallets,I use most of all numbers 2,3 and 5 of the Trio selection

Know these are quilty eye shadows they do not crumble under the brush unless you want to add lots of pressure be my guest,They are also not brittle. They are easy to use and you can wet your brush to apply them too,They are soft and creamy but do not slide once applied and blend so well they are my must haves.

These are the Little round Pots of Blusher,I mind when I 1st saw one a Girl in the Salon I used to work at was doing her Make up and produced this Kawaii little pod with brush and mirror and I fell in love with the cuteness and colour and ran out and got one on my lunch brake!
Again they are easy to use the brush is a bit fiddly to use,but they have put it in a tiny cute box what do you expect for a brush lol!So I use my own angled Blusher Brush.
Know there is only 3 in the picture above they are the ones that I use with the above Trio Eyes shadows and the other Eye shadows the Black and a Beige,I wet my brush and use it with the black for a soft eye-liner effect and the Beige is one I use for all over my eye lid as a base.

Lippy I love my Lippy There are so many kinds and shades of Lippy with Bourjois and they have a vast range,BUT I have not found a Bourjois Pillar box Red yet (classic all time colour of mine). Its a hard colour to wear and very 50,s but I've not come across this Red yet there is close Reds but not red enough for me hehe! They do have a new Pallet Range I have yet to look at maybe I have not there Reds in the shops or not noticed them but I find most of the shade have a lot of hints of Pink but I like pink too so its not a biggie as i use BarryM for my Red Lips.
These Lippy's will not dry out your lips either!
They are very nice lipsticks again easy to use and love the case they are in the lids don't come off as easy as other brands!Which is handy for the Hand bags!
Nothing worse than Lippy all over the inside of you handbag and contents and a lippy with dust hair and dirt stuck to it!
Not cute lol.

Know Mascara and Eyeliner,I use a mix of brands with it comes to Eye liner so I am going to rave with joy with the Mascara from Bourjous. I love the Wand with 2 Steps its FAB! Volumizer Mascara its simple I like to coat my Lashes if I'm not using Fake Lashes and this one is the one I use Step 1 is a small short wand that catches all of the lashes's and coats them I give this 2 coats both upper and lower and then use 2 coats of step 2 that pumps them up with Volume.Easy as 1,2,3!

Eye-liner Know I have used Eye-liner since high school and have learnt what is good what's not for example panda eyes...not cool in any way.I do not use it on my lower of my eyes of if I do only a tad as it makes my eyes look small which was my 1st mistake at High school and made it look Gothic instead of grown up,So after learning a few examples and how to do's I use a thin liner for the inner of the eye then thicken it up to the outer eye and flick.
I use Clubbing in Ultra Black form Bourjois  as my thin line all way across the eye and Barry M to thinking it up or Liner Feutre from mid way across to the flick.
I have found i like Liner Feutre and by keeping it in my Brush pot upside down helped it form clogging and drying out the felt tip bends a little to much for my liking but apart from that is Great and Easy to use if you are new to liquid eye-liners,I like Liquid to the pencils as its a sharp shape and makes your eyes stand out more than the soft pencil.

Here is a example of my Make up with Bourjois.

Using the 2 Trio Pallet.
A Kawaii look can be created.

Great for a daily look
Part 2 will be posted later!

Stay Kawaii xx
