Hey girl, where you been? Its Convention time!

Hey, ah-ha so I know am super lacking in blog posts. But I do this for a reason. I want to blog about interesting things as well as doing reviews. I think going out and doing things makes a blog post interesting instead of living behind the computer screen and blogging every day. Also I have my 'To Do List' written out and this is at the top of it . Not to mention every other thing I still have to do or tie up with lose ends. Any way! If any of you wanted to know what I've been up to,  then here it is.

This Month is the start of conventions for me this year and since the start of the year I been working on ideas to cosplay at Comic conventions that are local to me. I am missing so many this year due to a wedding on the other family side. (Yes am pouting about it. Not Kawaii at all but gurl gotta stand up for her thing yuno. *Kawaii bitch right here*) So thanks to this family event I will be missing at least 5 days worth of conventions, with the way travel has worked out and such. Pretty gutted. So might as well take the chance to enjoy all the local ones as much as I can.
(Am also getting a kawaii outfit to wear to the wedding btw as an attempt to make up for missing these conventions so yay!)

The 1st convention I was at , was Dee Con. I been going there for 3 years now and every time the event gets so busy and so many turn up for it. I was working as press coverage for Cyten.co.uk and you can see my write up  and soon ( PROMISE) video footage I  have been fighting  working on , for youtube. It was rather crowded but thankfully the weather was cloudy but dry so most of the time I spent outside . I got to meet up with my fellow cosplayers and fashion friends and had lots of fun. I was in cosplay as Ash, from pokemon. I was super shocked to have many ask me if I was ''Tartan from youtube'' and being asked to have my photo taken with them. A very odd and surreal experience for me!

The next  convention was Edinburgh Comic Con, which was something I went to last year under a different name. I went more for fun and to see if much had changed, This year there was so many other folks . Much more busy than when I was there. So much more cosplay too.
I cosplayed as well - more of a causal cosplay to be honest but it was lots of fun. In the space of five mins I was being asked to have photos taken and then to have this most of the time while at the event. It was very odd. This time I took my poi even though the weather was showers and windy . I kept hope to use them. Which I did. Over all the event was lots of fun.

Talking of poi, this is something I just started doing for maybe for 2 months now.
I wanted to learn something new, I saw fire spinning and was amazed by it, poi is the same thing but no fire. I got a few sets of poi now , tails , scarf and LED ones.
I was super lucky to learn a few moves to use when the sun came out at the event so I braved the chilly weather and got not only a stunning photo by a photographer but some footage of me spinning which the link you can find on my youtube video of the event.

So yeah I have been pretty busy and I have so much to catch up on but thought it was time for a blog post!
Any way here is more photo spam for you all! Till next time, laters.

Kawaii Haul of Cute and MCM Glasgow

Every one ! How are you all ?
Seems like forever since I did a blog post - whoops my bad! So I thought I would get back on my laptop and blog away some stuff , Oh but my typical luck my laptop broke on me so I had to delay it even more. - sigh-.
So to cheer myself up with all my bad luck of late, I swear some one is cursing me. I treated myself to some fun Kawaii goodies.
I ordered from one of my fave online esty stores, Frilly pops and order a pair of HOT pink pom pom earrings I saw the colour and fell in love with them and also I got a gift from the sweetie store owner which was such a surprise. A other set of earrings of mini pom poms in a leopard print style, they were so cute and stylish.

I love these pink pom poms so much they are so sassy and cute. I am not much of a girly girl but I do love my Pink stuff, The brighter the better!

I also got on order from 2 shops in the USA. A place I love and admire all the time I  am chubby bunny for her stylish and bold Kawaii looking hair bows , I have seen. I eventully picked one I have had my eye on for a while , I like ordering from here cause it comes so fast and its such a delight to open!

As well as getting my bow I also picked a pair of stars and heart earrings.
Am very happy with my order. Everything is soo cute!
The other place I Ordered from is a place I have not shopped with before I am your Present which is a Esty store, I picked up 2 super kawaii pieces that are soo cute and fun looking.
One is a collar clip with unicorns on it , that looks so magical and a pair of crazy colourful earrings.

I Just love these, they sent me a extra pair of earrings that I sent off to a pen pal as I cant wait really wear small earrings am scared I will lose them lol! I love the clips cause you can play about with many ideas with them. And Unicorns!! Who don't like Unicorns! The Stars are so fun and bubbly and cute.

Last weekend was the weekend of MCM Glasgow comic con. It was lots of fun and I got to hang out with my friends who were all dressed up form Lolita to Cosplay which was so cool . I only bought food and a plushie for my Chibi bean- a Yoshi one.  As I have seen other things I wanted to buy online later this month.
I ended up meeting a great cosplayer as the Joker ,in the queue. I was meeting my friends inside the event and spoke away. I seem to mange to be myself at conventions cause every one there has something in common with you and you don't need to spend long to find out what you have in common. I have a video to edit and up load and also got more you tube videos to do - watch this space !
So here is some of my photos!

So this was Glasgows 2nd MCM , I have to say that this year they were much more prepared for the numbers! A bigger hall was picked and the queue system ran smoothly . There was so many stalls and merch to let your eyes wonder too. I really went for the cosplay more than anything. But with a 5.30 am start I really did not get in the mood for taking photos this time. which is gutting but never mind. This year I was semi- dressed as Super Mario!

The only problem I had was my moustache kept coming off! Gahh!! I also did get to take photos of the Stunning Sailor moon who my friend Keara dressed as in cosplay! Which you can find here on this link.

I had a good weekend even though I was still recovering from the cold I got, and its nice to go and meet up with friends and do something we all enjoy. It was super fun maybe a bit awkward when others asked for our pictures, I really did not think my cosplay was very good haha! Next time I will defo pick a better cosplay and take way more photos!

so till next time!

Hyper Japan - Part 2

Hello every one and yay, am on part two of my Hyper Japan adventure.
It has been so hard to outline such a huge event and try to put it all into words. Any way this part is all about the music, J- fashion, cosplay and Kawaii things!  Cause you all know, How much I love Kawaii~ Hehe! I might even have a third part to this, I really did take way to many photos~ whoops!
(Image heavy post.)

So the stages were the place to be at Hyper Japan , I really could not say, which was the stage I enjoyed the most cause they were all entertaining in every aspect of Japanese culture. We had Fashion shows, Dances, and lots of super fun.

Hyper Japan 2014

Hyper Japan! The UK's biggest Japanese culture convention. Held often twice a year in London.
This year was my 1st time at Hyper Japan. Something I saved up for and put aside my time just to go. I am going to spilt up my post in two, Day one and Day two. Because there is so much to show and tell. I went both Friday and Saturday. (Blog post is image heavy )

Day One:t ( A run through of what to find and discover at Hyper Japan.)
Wow , even over a hour or so before the event there was a queue, the sun was belting down on all those in the queue and it was so hot! Any way once the doors were open it did not take long for the room to fill up, in no time there was people everywhere. The first thing you are greeted by is the huge character Chopper , signs for each area hanging from the ceiling and a sea of vendors. One main stage at the right rear and 2 smaller stages. Each one full of performers, music, fashion and even someKawaii robots. To be really honest I did not know where to start so as there was so much to take in.

There was a huge Games area from Arcade games to trying out, the WiiU and the 3DS. Am pretty old school with my consoles- lol- So I gave my best at having a go of the newer consoles and failed miserably. It was pretty fun, there was a lot of hard core gamers and so much going on in this one small area of the event. If you went walking about that area you had the chance to meet and greet Mario, Luigi , Pac-man and Pikachu Mascots, I missed Pikachu...I was so gutted but never mind! Please excuse my bad photo of me with Mario and Luigi, Hubby took it and my face is hidden in shadow! - eeep-

Game's were not the only high technology at the event! There was a on screen Domo Kun ( a Japanese TV mascot for the Channel NHK,) that you could get your photo taken with and a small section of the most adorable looking robots ever to. Adding to the musical element was Hyper Vocaloid.

Glasgow Comic Con Fun

Hey every cutie, How are you all doing?
Last weekend I was through in Glasgow, I decided last month to get a ticket for the Glasgow comic con and check it out. I have not been to this event before. Also I promised to the Marshmallow Dreams Maids who had a stall there to borrow my instant Camera for taking cute photos with the customers and con goers. I did not dress up as I find travel and lugging a kit about with me is bad enough. But I was pretty colourful in my oufit, yuno just keeping it Kawaii.
Any how everything got off to a good start from meeting cosplayer's at my local station but when I got to station for my second train, it seemed the trains were all messed up- Gahh!! But not only mine but my Lolita friends trains got delayed and cancels too? ehh!?
Lucky for me I got to Glasgow with no further problems and meet up with my friend at the station to then head to the event and meet up with more friends. Because we were running late we seemed to skip having to wait in line and were able to walk in get our events wrist band with out hanging about in a line for ages which was pretty good as the event itself looked pretty busy.
Within the space of a few minutes I bumped into many folks I already knew with was pretty cool as well as meeting a fellow photographer, the event was spread out over 3 buildings, once we explored them all, found the maids to hand over the camera , we then had a drink and snack and then explored again for a bit. I found most folks were in the main place for buying merch and comics, this was much more a western Comic convention however the cosplays were not limited to that as I spied a few anime cosplayers.

Marshmallow Dream maids Stall.

Before I knew it we were heading off for lunch then returned back to the event as we wanted to stay for the cosplay competitions, on our way we spotted a stunning cosplay. Of Maleficent so I asked if was cool to take her photo with the lolita's - she was soo cool , we also encouraged her to join in the cosplay contest.

We also meet up with fellow lolitas and undercover Maids  at the event too. It was rather odd seeing them in Yukatas instead of their lolita or maid outfits! hehe
!

Playing with my ''Camera bag'' selfies.

I got many photos from the event and the cosplay contest /masquerade. So I will share them with this link here. Photo's found here!

Over all I had a great time , I just had great company with me and met so many familair faces it was just so nice. I found it a bit hard to take photos at this event cause one I was using my new lens and second cause I was having to much fun. Because I have a HUGE event later this months, yes Hyper Japan!! I tried to avoid spending lots of money. huhuhuh. But I did by myself a wee something - a Funko Fluttershy and a pink GCC pin. I also took some fun instant photos too. After the event and seeing the all the entered cosplays four of us went out to get some bubble tea, something I have not had before it was so nice, am really happy they showed me and helped me pick my first bubble tea. I think I will be making a point to get one next time am in glasgow again.
After getting our drinks we spilt up and we headed for our train, It was nice to have some company on the train and because saturday was the day that Sailor moon Crystal was released , and both me and Layla being Sailor moon fans, We sat on the train watching it on my Phone haha!!
