Kawaii Crafts -Washi Blossom Garland

It is time to get crafty every Cutie, here is a Do it your self - How to make your own Washi Blossom Garland. To hang up and enjoy in your home, room or kawaii space!
Its a simple thing to make  that recycles old plastic bags and looks so cute hanging up. So lets go and get to the how to ...

What you will need it the following~
A bunch of Plastic bags
Some Washi Decorative tape
Thread
Scissors

Start with gathering all the things you need and set up some space.Take next your plastic bag and flatten it out. You want to cut it up into strips but discard the handle and the very end piece of the bag. You can play about with the widths of the ''Blossoms'' you wish to make. You might want to collect a few plastic bags for this!

Once you have done this you want to take you Washi tape or decorative tape and place it along the sides of the strips of plastic bags. You can pick any cute tapes to make your 'Blossoms' look really cute. This can be a tricky bit taping up the plastic bags strips so do take your time! Make sure you do both sides.

Once all the sides have their washi tape on them, you want to fold them up. so if you pinch the ends they will fan out. This is where you are going to need your thread to tie them up and keep it them from spring flat again. Make sure you try and tie the knots nice and tight in the middle of the plastic strips.

The next step is to take the folded strip and then cut around the ends in a rounded trim on the edge, This will give a bit of shape of a semi circle on the ends to make your ' blossoms'.
Once you have done this very gently  pull the sides to puff them out and then separated them even more to give some volume and shape to the 'blossom.' You should have something a bit like these..

Taa Daa!!
Then simply either string them along a thread like a garland or even bunch them up together. Hang them verticality across or even let them dangle like floating blossoms from above by attaching them high up. You can really put them any where you want and they are just so cute and a great little project to do with friends and family.

How to make your Room Kawaii!

Hey- Hey every Cutie!
Today I am doing a Kawaii-How-To.

How to make your room Kawaii!

Lots of us like to show our kawaii sides with decoration and displaying our cherished items. And these often end up in our bedrooms. Or maybe you want to give your room a cute make over.So today's post is How to make your room Kawaii. Don't worry I will guide you on some ideas and tips for making your new room look kawaii!

  • The very first thing you will want to do is tidy your room, work out what you are keeping and throw out/ recycle any rubbish or clutter. As for things you no longer wish to keep. You could put them up for sales on ebay and or give other stuff to charity. It is best to get everything clean and tidy. Its easy to work around a tidy room than a messy room- haii!
  • You may wish to paint your room or wall paper it for a complete new look this is optional. Picking light colours will also help small rooms look airy and bigger. Or why not paint one wall a cute shade in a pastel colour as a feature wall.Likes of lavender, pinky or mints.
  • If you cant or are not allowed to paint your room, Or wish to have plain coloured walls. Adding a pastel shade roller blind or curtains will help bring colour into the room. Or Find some cute Fabric you like and use that to hang on the walls
  • Keep your furniture in light shades that give off a cute look and airy feel to the room.
  • If you you wish to display photos or pictures on you walls, put them up with blue/white tack that way you can chop and change your stuff around.
  • If you want to be extra kawaii and creative why not obtain a blank cheep poster frame/picture that you can add lots of Kawaii things to it.Thing's such as stickers, images printed from the computer, photos, cut outs, inspirations and you can even use Washi tape to decorate it too.
  • Decorate your bed instantly with a cute throw over with a cute character in it such as Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma or any of your most loved characters. Or even Pick a cute duvet set.
  • Instantly cheer up a empty chair with a Plushie or cute pillow/ cushion. Pillows and even soft toys can make your room look super cute.
  • Bring more light into your room with fairy lights, why not wrap them around you head boards or run them along some shelves.
  • Find a cute rug in colours that will match your room that will give your floor/carpet a new lease of kawaii life.
  • Decorate you things.Such as adding cute and small toys to the top of your computer monitors or PC towers. Will add Charm and Kawaii-ness
  • Display the things you love,That will bring Cute-ness to any room by showing your passion.  May it be using a cute cupcake stand to display your jewellery or empty jars full of  trinkets even finding a display unit for your kawaii collections.
The most important thing about your room is not about filling it with tons of Japanese, Kawaii and cute goods, to out do any other Kawaii love/collector/ fan but to fill it with the things that you love. And Display or Express your creative fun cute side in your own personal space and enjoy it.

Kawaii DIY Valentines Ideas Felt Hearts

Hello Cuties - again here is my last post for the run up for Valentines day!
I will be doing all my backing and chocolate making on the Thursday so its all freshly made for the 14th to give to my Valentines. I wonder if I will get many cards ( Heehee!!) Yea right! I will  Lucky to even get a card! (n_n)But this post again like the last one can be altered to what you want to use it for!
Today let's make Hanging felt hearts!
(sorry for the crappy Phone photos I cant load up any Camera ones at this time.)
Yay..What you will need is the following.
Sheets of Red felt
A heart template or shape to use as a guide
A pencil to trace the shape on the felt.
A needle
Thread
Scissors.

To start with you should get your heart shaper template and trace around it on the red felts. You do not need to use heart as you can pick any shape you want but cause is near Valentines day I picked hearts. Also they are very cute too. You can pick any colour of felts for your hearts as well so don't let what I have picked limit you in any way. Once you have traced out your shapes you will need the scissors for cutting them out.

Once you have cut them all out I made about 12 single hearts and paired them up to make them double sided, *DON'T throw away any scrap felt!* I paired up the hearts with the pencil showing on the outside and then took my thread and needle and started to do a simple stitch around them but not completely sewing them up, as I then turned them inside out.
Using the left over felts I used that to stuff the insides of my hearts making them into tiny plushie hearts. Make sure you cut up the extra felts into smaller pieces so they fit into the hearts hehe. Then finish sewing up the cute little heart. (^.~) Kawaii!

Do this with your paired up hearts and you should then have 6 plushie cute hearts. Know with the thread you will want to cut a long piece for string them all together as well. So make sure you have plenty thread.Starting with the first heart string it from the top of the heart in the middle and then thread on the second one from the bottom and the top. That way it will swing about less when hung. And then do the same with the rest till you get to the last one. Once at the top make sure to loop your thread and then its ready for hanging up!

Like I already said you don't have to stick with my guidelines of shape and colour. Why not make some stars or Clouds or what about rainbow coloured felts. Also you could add any sort of extra decorations for extra Kawaii fun!

I cant wait to see every one making Kawaii valentines ideas!
Feel free to send me pictures of your Kawaii Valentines DIY's I bet they are super cute.

Till next time!
<3 Stay cute.

Kawaii Valentines heart with secret message!

Hello Cuties, Well its February and that means Valentines day.
So when you are stuck for ideas and want to make them Kawaii you have come to the right place.

So, I was feeling creative and make a Kawaii idea, I also am feeling the lows of having to save for my camera and did not want to spend much money on St. Valentines Day. Also I wanted to make my gift personal to my loved one.So here is a How to make a Valentines Heart with a secret message!

All you need for this idea is a few Craft supplies and with miss chibi bean having an abundance of '' Makes things'' as she calls it , I had the following at hand...Origami Paper, Stick on Gems and left over Christmas ribbon, the one that looks so neat and pretty on gifts but is a nightmare to take off to get to unwrapping your christmas gifts . You will also need a hole puncher too.

So step 1~ is the tricky part and takes a bit of time here~

Making a Origami Heart I made a double sided one which can be found Here!! So you would make one of these with your Origami paper (or coloured paper cut to size.)

Step 2~Take the hole punch and make a hole

Step 3~  Thread the ribbon or gift wrap ribbon through the hole and make a bow.

Step 4~ Use a Sticky Gem or other decorative item and stick it on the bow to secure it.

Step 5~ Add a small piece of paper with your message on it , slide it into the folds of the heart to keep it safe and taaa-daaa!

You have a small kawaii love heart with a secret message for a loved one or admirer.
Chhuuuu!!

These are just so Kawaii!!

I also have some more Kawaii Valentines ideas that I shall post up next time!

Stay Kawaii!

DIY New Year Kawaii Post!

Happy New Year its 2014!
My 1st post of the year- Yay.

Are you all ready to take on the new year!? Have you set your new years resolutions? This year I have made more goals and dreams to reach and aim for! I thought I would share a DIY New Year Kawaii  idea with you all today!
This year I felt it was a good idea to get a 2014 Diary - I don't really use them as I have Calendar's in the House. When I went looking for one in the shops after Christmas the were all on sale but only the dull and non-cute looking ones were left over and neglected.
However I did find a nice sized one with a Camera on the front of it. Perfect I thought. It's cheep, simple and the Camera would remind me to reach for my new dreams. Am hoping to take a Photography class and take more photos at the conventions and events that I will be attending in 2014. Hence the need of a diary

Here is a picture of what it looked like! A bit boring for my kawaii life style! LOL.
So.. I got some of my new Stickers out and gave it a bit of a make over...

I went for a Cat and Bear theme on the cover. It looks much more fun and interesting do you not think?!

Kawaii!!
I added a few gems on to the cover too , I can not wait to fill this in with important dates, goals and dreams to reach for this year. I even have little stickers that act as page book marks to add to this for friends Birthdays and other important entries.

Will you be taking my idea and giving your new 2014 diary a Kawaii make over?!

What a (Hello) Kitty Kawaii Idea!

Hey every one! How are all you Kawaii Fan's today?!

I know a lot of you are at school and collage after a October brake, and others are back to work and the darker Autumn months are dragging us down  and so I wanted to share with you a little pick me up idea to cheer you all up and add a bit of Kawaii to your days!

I for one, love note books and more so cute ones, but I wanted to make it into a inspiration book or a book to keep me Kawaii,I even took mine on Holiday and it got a bit of interest because it was so colourful!I picked a cute book from WHSmiths, Its a Hello Kitty one so its already cute, but I wanted to make it more me and more personal! So I am gona give you all some hints and tips on how I did this and what other ideas you can add to it.

Its really simple too! Just pick a Notebook you like or a school work book, even a dairy you like! You may even wish to pick a plain one to make it super personal.

This is what the cover of my notebook looks like but I love all things Kawaii and added a Rilakkuma charm to the spine of the notebook! A very easy simple way to add a bit of cute to anything!!

This Notebook happen to have sections that were set apart with plastic pieces that were great to decoden up with my own style!

As you can see its very easy to make this Kawaii I used a selection of Stickers, Am rather obsessed with stickers with doing my pen pal letters! So I have lots of them hehe!  I used a mix of what I find Kawaii to me and even used deco tape on it too making the tape frame a cute post it note there is even some transfer Kids tattoo been stuck down on to the plastic, Showing that you can really use anything!!

This one shows the Kawaii Hello Kitty stamps that I got from a Parcel from Japan again I used Deco tape to stick it down and used a range of stickers from 3D ones to Glittery ones.
This little book has all my ideas for my blog, Doodles and dreams that I want to reach by making it cute it keeps me inspired!
Its so simple and you can really go super Kawaii with these other suggestions below!

Other ideas!

  • Here are some other ideas for you, why not cut out photos of you and your mates and  decorate the covers of notebooks and folders!
  • Why check out ebay for Decoden accessories you can add to the notebook as most of these tend to have a flat surface on the back.
  • Cut out stuff form magazines from fashion to children's magazines the kids ones often have free stikers too ( yay!)
  • Print out some of the images you find on Google and glue them on.
  • Add Charms and key chains to the spines of note books.
  • Use glitter nail polish over stickers for extra sparkles.
  • Use colourful felt tip pens when writing in your notes and ideas!
But most of all have fun and pick what you love and think is Super Kawaii!!

If any one has any Suggestions, Questions or Ideas for making Kawaii, Send me a email or Facebook me!
And if any one has made their own notebooks Kawaii from my Idea ,Please send in your creations and I will share them on the Facebook Page!
Ready set go, and be creative!

Keeping warm and Kawaii~Hints and tips

Keeping Warm is a number warm thing for me as I happen to feel the cold,Even though every one has only t-shirts on,I am frozen and like to wrap up warm,May it be I wear a extra t-shirt or a few more layers.

Maybe because I am in Scotland?!...errrmm...You would think that I would be used to it since I lived here all my life.
Even today I am feeling a chill around me.

 T^T
So here are a few hints and tips with keeping warm but still Kawaii for this winter!

Hints and Kawaii Tips for the winter!

Jumpers! Big thick cosy jumpers are in the knitwear selections,
There are 2 kinds pain ones or ones with detail.

Picking the detailed ones with cute images on them are super cute and easy to wear with out thinking to much about them by wearing some nice jeans.Currently is all about skulls and crosses with fashion at this time so its proven hard to get some cute images on jumpers right now.

New Look Love heart Jumper

The other is plain but wear some printed Jeans or cute leggings to make a Kawaii outfit and keep warm at the same time .Choosing the idea of a plain jumper makes this a big easy as there is lots of prints on leggings, tights and jeans that can make the outfit cute. Most of the colours at this current season are all dark looking too but there is a small handful of lighter colours.

New Look,Sweet cute Bow Jumper

The other ways of keeping warm and Kawaii is playing about with Printed Leggings and Tights though there is not as many printed tights as much as there is overseas its work going on ebay to have a look for some,These can brighten up any outfit that is plain and warm and by there is thicker leggings out for the warmer months too.
A other idea is even though its not quite snowing over here it means you can still use the shorts that you had this summer (or Lack of Summer in Scotlands case).
By wearing some think tights to keep your legs warm!
Right know in the shops there is a range of coloured tights (again Dark colours) that are fab for wearing with shorts, and also with all this seasons colours and prints you can still pick up a new pair of shorts in October!
Footwear can be cute too and thank's to the popularity of Festivals Shops have caught on with the Wellies boots.
That's Right you can know get super cute Welly boots ones with bows, lace and prints,My own are poka dots and I make sure I have some nice thick (Kawaii )Socks to keep my feet warm too.

There is lots of cute welly boots.
^_^

My current OOTD are mostly Jeans with thick jumpers and cute accessories,or its ifs mild I wear my cute shorts tights and tops. But its hard work keeping Kawaii and warm at the same time.
Why not look into some Kawaii and Adorable Lolita Jackets and even Anime plush slippers too.
And if all else fails simply buy a kawaii fleece blanket and wrap up cosy with a few of your most loved Plushies  like Hello Kitty of course and get a nice cup or warm hot chocolate with mini marshmallows
^^
Stay super Kawaii
