How to make a Kawaii Christmas

AH I love Christmas, I love the whole setting it up and decorations!
I often take some down time to get ready as most of you know that I also have a sweet Christmas star's birthday on the same day. Yup Chibi Bean will be a whole 4 years old on Christmas day! Kyaaa!!! She is already excited with seeing me getting it all ready.
Before Chibi came along I did not really do much at Christmas at all, I even tried to work it if I could so I didn't have to do the whole Christmas thing, I lost interest in it. But of course that has all changed since Chibi bean came along! I put all my energy into it every year now!
This is the 4th year of my some what famous Hello Kitty tree but am not giving out details of it all just yet!
Instead this post is showing off my DIY Kawaii ideas and other Ideas to make things Kawaii!
Wanting to give a kawaii make over to your Christmas is pretty easy, you just have to think...well think Kawaii!
Recycling old Christmas decorations is a cheap option and you can make them as good as a new item in the shop!Changing the colour theme to whites and pastels or mixing soft colours is also a great idea!

I took this old mini white tree and a mini pink wreath I had that I wanted to recycle so I took the pick like branches off the wreath and attached them with strong glue to the thin and some what looking sorry for its self tree. I was very happy with my new pink and white tree that not only looks Kawaii but much fuller too!

But what happened to the wreath's base? Well I wanted to add more colour to my Kawaii Christmas theme and happened to be making Pom poms and created a new Pom pom  wreath along side a new Pom pom Garland to hang up! And I even used sparkly wool and added extra glitter for fun.I can not wait to hang it up on the wall! Pom poms really can make something look super cute!

I also made with Pom Poms cute Candle bases ( mind you might not be very particle with wool and a open flame.)Which some of you might see at the next up coming Maid cafe as well as the garlands too! Also keep a eye out for my new Pom pom hair band I made thats pastel and Kawaii with Glittery like snow !

Check out this cute Kawaii Christmas Bauble!

As well as having fun with pinks whites pom poms and glitter I also have been having lots of fun with Christmas Baubles, which I wanted to make more of but never mind I have next year to make more right?
I wanted to make my own ones and it was really easy to make these! Getting hold of material was also easy to do , well I did get my baubles a bit to big for the kawaii things I wanted to add to them - whoops!- But then I found something to go in them and found smaller baubles to use.
I have made a DIY kawaii video to share with you all here on my youtube Channel!!!

Aswell you can follow the easy steps shown below in photos too cause they were so much fun I pick Kawaii Characters I love lots of Hello Kitty and my fave kawaii bear Rilakkuma and his friends too! Not only that they each live in their own wonderland of snow!

You will need!
Clear Plastic Christmas Baubles that can come apart.
Craft Glue
Small Toys or Kawaii Characters to fit inside the Bauble.
Glitter Snow of your choice.
And some Rhinestones to decorate.

Split the bauble and attach your rhinestones both in the inner side and outer side. Make sure you leave space between the rhinestones. I used tweezers to pick them up and place them in the Bauble!

Using Craft Glue or Strong glue to  place your Kawaii item inside and leave to dry!
Mine too 5mins or so. Then you want to add in the Snow, I added mine to the other half of the bauble to make it easier, not to much you don't want to lose your Character in all the snow!

Then using glue to seal the outer edges but both sides together and then add some string .
And there you have it Kawaii Characters in Christmas baubles! Just like that Easy!!!
Of course you can make em any size you want or any theme you want! I can not wait to see any you make and how they will look on your Kawaii Christmas Tree's!
I am looking forward to having these on my tree so much! Way to cute.

Not only making you own stuff will be fun but also it will be unique to you and your Christmas!
Keep a eye of my final Kawaii Christmas post coming real soon.
Till Later.

Kawaii Easter ideas!

Hey every cutie!
Its almost Easter time, where all the shops decorated with spring themes, Easter eggs and chocolate sections are full to the brim and fashion goes to pastel shades.

There is a spring in our step and finally we can feel like wearing cute skirts and tops. Yay! Rabbits Chicks and baby animals are easy to find at this time of year and most of all baby animals are Kawaii .So here are some Easter Kawaii ideas for you all.

Lets being!
Easter decorations, what is else is super cute to dress up your bedrooms and rooms around the house.
I love those flag buntings you can either make or buy with ease. They can be both used for in doors and outside.

You can also be super creative with these as well why not make hanging Easter egg shapes, bunnies or maybe even some cute chicks to have on your bunting instead.

If bunting is maybe not your thing then why not  try stinging decorative kawaii spring items on some string or thread and have them hanging from a window or wall too.

As well as Decorating the house you can easily paint eggs with little ones over the easter holidays to keep them busy and have some fun. Why not make your Easter painted eggs into your kawaii characters from Sanrio and San-X.
Am sure you can come up with very cute and kawaii ideas for painting the eggs, these will make a cute centre piece on the table when you have guests over for Easter Sunday lunch.

Also did you know that you can get cute Easter themed Kawaii goods that you can give as gifts to your loved ones and kawaii friends!
Yep you can find likes of Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma and friends dressed up as the Easter Bunny and even a spring chicken, Kyaaa Kawaii!
What a great gift to give to some one.

Other ideas can be baking , Every one seems to like or enjoy baking at Easter, hot cross buns and many other things too, but you can make those just as Kawaii as anything else. From turning your normal cupcake into a Easter cupcake nest of mini eggs to making your own Kawaii Bunny shaped macaroons! Kyaa!

Oh and dont for get about wrapping up and presenting your gifts and displays with cute coloured gift wrap and picking cute Easter greeting cards too. Or why not have a shot at making your very own Easter bunny rabbit envelopes and letters with the use of Origami and picking pretty paper to leave a lasting impression for all your friends and family!
(You can use the bunny making evelopes as a skill for any birthdays and celebrations too, as they go down a treat like any other hand made gift.) *nods*

Have a Happy Kawaii Easter every one!

How to make your Room Kawaii!

Hey- Hey every Cutie!
Today I am doing a Kawaii-How-To.

How to make your room Kawaii!

Lots of us like to show our kawaii sides with decoration and displaying our cherished items. And these often end up in our bedrooms. Or maybe you want to give your room a cute make over.So today's post is How to make your room Kawaii. Don't worry I will guide you on some ideas and tips for making your new room look kawaii!

  • The very first thing you will want to do is tidy your room, work out what you are keeping and throw out/ recycle any rubbish or clutter. As for things you no longer wish to keep. You could put them up for sales on ebay and or give other stuff to charity. It is best to get everything clean and tidy. Its easy to work around a tidy room than a messy room- haii!
  • You may wish to paint your room or wall paper it for a complete new look this is optional. Picking light colours will also help small rooms look airy and bigger. Or why not paint one wall a cute shade in a pastel colour as a feature wall.Likes of lavender, pinky or mints.
  • If you cant or are not allowed to paint your room, Or wish to have plain coloured walls. Adding a pastel shade roller blind or curtains will help bring colour into the room. Or Find some cute Fabric you like and use that to hang on the walls
  • Keep your furniture in light shades that give off a cute look and airy feel to the room.
  • If you you wish to display photos or pictures on you walls, put them up with blue/white tack that way you can chop and change your stuff around.
  • If you want to be extra kawaii and creative why not obtain a blank cheep poster frame/picture that you can add lots of Kawaii things to it.Thing's such as stickers, images printed from the computer, photos, cut outs, inspirations and you can even use Washi tape to decorate it too.
  • Decorate your bed instantly with a cute throw over with a cute character in it such as Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma or any of your most loved characters. Or even Pick a cute duvet set.
  • Instantly cheer up a empty chair with a Plushie or cute pillow/ cushion. Pillows and even soft toys can make your room look super cute.
  • Bring more light into your room with fairy lights, why not wrap them around you head boards or run them along some shelves.
  • Find a cute rug in colours that will match your room that will give your floor/carpet a new lease of kawaii life.
  • Decorate you things.Such as adding cute and small toys to the top of your computer monitors or PC towers. Will add Charm and Kawaii-ness
  • Display the things you love,That will bring Cute-ness to any room by showing your passion.  May it be using a cute cupcake stand to display your jewellery or empty jars full of  trinkets even finding a display unit for your kawaii collections.
The most important thing about your room is not about filling it with tons of Japanese, Kawaii and cute goods, to out do any other Kawaii love/collector/ fan but to fill it with the things that you love. And Display or Express your creative fun cute side in your own personal space and enjoy it.

Kawaii DIY Valentines Ideas Felt Hearts

Hello Cuties - again here is my last post for the run up for Valentines day!
I will be doing all my backing and chocolate making on the Thursday so its all freshly made for the 14th to give to my Valentines. I wonder if I will get many cards ( Heehee!!) Yea right! I will  Lucky to even get a card! (n_n)But this post again like the last one can be altered to what you want to use it for!
Today let's make Hanging felt hearts!
(sorry for the crappy Phone photos I cant load up any Camera ones at this time.)
Yay..What you will need is the following.
Sheets of Red felt
A heart template or shape to use as a guide
A pencil to trace the shape on the felt.
A needle
Thread
Scissors.

To start with you should get your heart shaper template and trace around it on the red felts. You do not need to use heart as you can pick any shape you want but cause is near Valentines day I picked hearts. Also they are very cute too. You can pick any colour of felts for your hearts as well so don't let what I have picked limit you in any way. Once you have traced out your shapes you will need the scissors for cutting them out.

Once you have cut them all out I made about 12 single hearts and paired them up to make them double sided, *DON'T throw away any scrap felt!* I paired up the hearts with the pencil showing on the outside and then took my thread and needle and started to do a simple stitch around them but not completely sewing them up, as I then turned them inside out.
Using the left over felts I used that to stuff the insides of my hearts making them into tiny plushie hearts. Make sure you cut up the extra felts into smaller pieces so they fit into the hearts hehe. Then finish sewing up the cute little heart. (^.~) Kawaii!

Do this with your paired up hearts and you should then have 6 plushie cute hearts. Know with the thread you will want to cut a long piece for string them all together as well. So make sure you have plenty thread.Starting with the first heart string it from the top of the heart in the middle and then thread on the second one from the bottom and the top. That way it will swing about less when hung. And then do the same with the rest till you get to the last one. Once at the top make sure to loop your thread and then its ready for hanging up!

Like I already said you don't have to stick with my guidelines of shape and colour. Why not make some stars or Clouds or what about rainbow coloured felts. Also you could add any sort of extra decorations for extra Kawaii fun!

I cant wait to see every one making Kawaii valentines ideas!
Feel free to send me pictures of your Kawaii Valentines DIY's I bet they are super cute.

Till next time!
<3 Stay cute.

Kawaii Valentines chocolate Ideas

Hello Cuties, Here is a second post for you all (this give us a small brake from doing interviews all the time!) I just wanted to say that I am working on a tiny laptop so my post will be a bit short and to the point.I do hope you enjoy this kawaii idea and give this a try (^_^)
This Kawaii DIY Idea is super cute and its also super yummy, you dont even need to wait till valentines day to makes these and you can make them as gifts for others too!
They are also super easy to make and super cute.

You will need, Some Chocolate for melting.I used both white and milk chocolate
2 bowls for each Chocolate and spoons.
Mould shapes eg, hearts.
Candy foils for wrapping and a cute food bag to gift them in.

Melt your Chocolate in the Mirco-wave (its easy this way to check every 10 sec while it melts to stop it from burning!) >w< huhuh I found out the hard way, burnt chocolate is not nice nyaa!
^_^;
Stir the chocolate well, and put the melted chocolate into its moulds, Why not add some Silver candy balls or sprinkles for extra kawaii-ness before you add the chocolate to the moulds. (these will in effect appear on the top of your mould shapes when ready.) Once all the chocolate is in all the moulds pop it in the fridge! Check them after a while and once they are solid again its time to pop them out the moulds and get ready to add any extra decorations and wrap them.

And once they are all wrapped up put them in their cute food or gift bag, Or even make a cute box to give them to your Valentines <3 As you can see I added lots of Red to wrap and gift mine up. As well as super cute food bags. These will look so cute with your Valentines Hearts with messages inside too!
One more post coming up!
Stay Kawaii!!

DIY New Year Kawaii Post!

Happy New Year its 2014!
My 1st post of the year- Yay.

Are you all ready to take on the new year!? Have you set your new years resolutions? This year I have made more goals and dreams to reach and aim for! I thought I would share a DIY New Year Kawaii  idea with you all today!
This year I felt it was a good idea to get a 2014 Diary - I don't really use them as I have Calendar's in the House. When I went looking for one in the shops after Christmas the were all on sale but only the dull and non-cute looking ones were left over and neglected.
However I did find a nice sized one with a Camera on the front of it. Perfect I thought. It's cheep, simple and the Camera would remind me to reach for my new dreams. Am hoping to take a Photography class and take more photos at the conventions and events that I will be attending in 2014. Hence the need of a diary

Here is a picture of what it looked like! A bit boring for my kawaii life style! LOL.
So.. I got some of my new Stickers out and gave it a bit of a make over...

I went for a Cat and Bear theme on the cover. It looks much more fun and interesting do you not think?!

Kawaii!!
I added a few gems on to the cover too , I can not wait to fill this in with important dates, goals and dreams to reach for this year. I even have little stickers that act as page book marks to add to this for friends Birthdays and other important entries.

Will you be taking my idea and giving your new 2014 diary a Kawaii make over?!

Kawaii DIY ideas

Hey Kawaii lovers here is a small but cute idea for you all!
Its a bit of a Do it yourself Kawaii make-over post.
I wanted so show you you can turn anything into something cute.
So I have a lot of kawaii bits and bobs and like to store everything and keep it neat and tidy so am going to show you 2 Kawaii ideas!
One being a cute pot to store some things away and the other a box! So you will need..

A clean empty pot like a yogurt pot of some sort, I had a porridge pot yea its got peppa pig on it hehe!
And a new blank CD storage box, You can pick and choose what sort of item you wish to decoden and make kawaii.

You will also need the following, Stickers, pens and pretty cute tape to use for decorating. You can add other things if you want to, likes of ribbon Glitter and such.
For the pot I used the Deco-tape and simply wrapped the tape around the pot .

I rushed this a bit to much but it still looks really cute and cheerful, in such little time you have a Kawaii pot to fill it with your stuff.

I put the pens in the pot for Chibi bean as she likes to colour in and she was very happy with her new pen pot!

Using the CD storage box and a black file box, I also gave them a make over!
I used a lot of stickers or used the deco tape to place cute post it notes on them. I also used the pens to doodle on small pictures and words. I also added some of those temporary tattoos on them , you just apply them the same way as you would on your skin. ( I can't use them on my skin ) Just be careful you do not want to  wet the stuff you are giving a Kawaii make over.
You can really add and even paint them in any way you want to give them a make over, this is just one way to make them Kawaii!

I hope you all have a go of this idea too!
