Back to being a Kawaii Mama and life again

Hey guys - how are you all?
So what's new? I have not done a Blog post in a while. I have been visited by the charm of mother nature - which have dragged me down and am back to the reality of the School Runs of being a Kawaii Mama. *sigh* Which has left me limited to blogging. See this is why I adore the school holidays I can get everything done! And not need to worry if I can get away with being Super Kawaii and having them odd looks from the other mums, in saying that am finding that they like my bright pink lippy , so I guess am braking them in slowly - heh-.

Do you ever feel that cause you love cute stuff or anything in this matter , that you have to tone it down around others cause your not up for explaining every single time that its just your style? I don't have the time to explain or express at 8am in the mornings while dropping off a 3 year old who likes to refuse to go into the class and then abandons me as soon as she see's her play pals. I just don't have time too. lol! I need to head back and use the very little time of freedom to blitz the house and tidy it up.

Over the holidays, I have been having fun with events and lots of play time with my daughter and spending time as a family its always nice and sometimes stressful. It also gives me a chance to explore and have some fun with Kawaii fashion with out getting the odd risen eyebrow from other mothers and have started up my You tube videos again - yay! On my You tube you can get enjoy my Kawaii Character Videos ! I hope to do as many as I can and try and do them every weekend. when I have the time too. Please Check them out if you like! Here is the Link!

The other week I went to a Alice in wonderland themed Cafe  which was a nice change, Its a nice place in Edinburgh City I was taken there are a treat with my Sister while we had been shopping.

I have a few photos on my Instagram from being there so check it out! Its a cute little place, that has bits and pieces form the Alice in wonderland movie and films. Such as a Table and Chair on the ceiling, The red queens rose garden and art from the movie's in frames that are all topsy turvy. It's more of a tea room than a cafe and plenty of brews to pick from the selected menu. We only had time for a rose lemonade and cake!

So while keeping busy I am also know contributing to a UK website full of interesting and up to date information from Games to Anime called Cyten worth checking them out! I will be their Kawaii lifestyle contributor along side Kawaii fashion Queen and cutie Aisha Anime! www.cyten.co.uk

I have a few upcoming projects and events at least these are a bit more spaced out that the start of the year! But I will be attending MCM - Scotland in a sorta attempt of Cosplay , keep a eye on my Facebook to find out some clues for this! As well I be at the Scottish Gaming Expo and  Aunchinawa this year.  So if you do spot me and wana come say Hello then be sure to come on over I don't bite and I will have my Camera on me too. Oh and am only 2 units away from completing my Photography course and I have some projects that I will be needing some models for! which is really cool too!

So yea sorry its a bit of a dull post but I thought maybe you all were bored of reviews and such and would love to get your feed back on the stuff you wana see, hear and know about on both my blog and you tube since am using both much more than I did in the past! - huhuh-
So till next time Laters

Cute Japanese Fashion Haul review.

Hey every one, This post is a Fashion review on a parcel of goodies I got in the post. All the items are from Cute Japanese Fashion  who part sponsored me in this review.
So I put a order in on Thurday last week, and my order came a few days later (Saturday.)

The site is easy to use and its easy to find items. I like the wish list where you heart the items and can keep them saved and then later buy them when you have the money. It's maybe too handy haha.  So I ordered 2 wigs (love wigs.) and one top and a jumper.  There is a nice selection to look and and pick from and its easy to find the stuff in your size. Most items listed on the site have been changed into UK sizes and are a range from size 6- 14.

Again the wigs are a new thing which they do not have to much of a collection but it seems to be growing each week with a few wigs added.

So here is my haul of goodies  It always exciting to get stuff in the post, I would like to point out that the wigs do come with a wig cap and they are currently being posted out to me - its nice to get good customer service! As I said I got a jumper , top and 2 wigs.

I can say the items are true to the stock images on the site , so no worries there.
As I have ordered from the store in the past, I know the stuff is pretty long lasting and one of my tops I got ages ago is still my fave one ,its a a top with stripes and a red heart on it. You most likely have seen it on facebook somewhere in my photos.

So the tops, one is a Black Milk Logo one with pink and sunny yellow paint blobs on it. Paint ball, any one? I really liked this one cause as much as I adore being all Kawaii Queen I like the street sorta look too.
Its a 3/4 sleeve top in white with the Logo and its a pretty long one in length. It is pretty thin so you could wear a tank top under it or keep it for summer days or holidays. Either way I really like it. Its Price is £10.99
I would say it s size 8-14 cause its super baggy and lots of space.

The other item was the Jumper top. Its really cute , Its a thin jumper which is great for summer nights or those slightly chilly days, again colder months I would throw a tank top under it. Scotland is always cold. You think I would be used to the cold - haha! I love the Black little hearts all over the jumper its very cute and I feel as a Kawaii moma, I could wear this every day or causal for picking the Chibi bean up at pre-school and not stand out to much from the other mum's...(kinda haha)
This one I would say size wise is about a 8- 12 with a bit of room to slip on a t-shirt under it. Its price is £15.99.

I also got 2 new wigs the first one is a Blonde wig its a short straight one. I liked the colour of it and its price is £10.99. Its quite a shocker being Jet black and putting on a Blonde wig. I like its style. The shade, its more of a warm blonde and its not the most natural looking shade. I have noticed all the wigs are pretty light weight and not heavy when worn. I found this wig a bit shiny for my taste and am not overly keen on the bangs/ fringe. It might just be me but am not use if it suit me at all. However is cute fun and really quirky , I would say its more a cosplay style wig, maybe. Am not sure. But for the price its a pretty cute wig.

The second wig- OMG its soo cute, I saw this one ages ago and was like , its so adorable I gotta have it!
The wig is  £17.99 the main stock image shows it in twin tails that have been plated but I can say its the same colour as the stock image baby blue and baby pink and its a lose curls style style. Again its light weight and I just love the colours . Even though its pastel shades its not as shiny as the blonde one. I have noticed the fibres are a bit thinner but at that price you can not go wrong. Talking with knowledge here as I have shed out up to £50 for wigs, I would say these wigs are well priced for the products you are getting.

So over all am super happy with my items, the service and such from Cute Japanese Fashion. I would love to see more personal touches to my orders ( but that is me being fussy haha) . It is a online store I would recommend if you are looking for some cute mature looking items and the wigs are a lot of fun too.

So here are some Kawaii photos I took with my items to let you see them worn and on.

Any way I hope you all like my blog post and I should have a video up in the next few days!

Till next time

How to be Kawaii- Being a Kawaii Mummy

Hey every cutie. Today am going to open up a bit,to you all about being a mummy.
Not just any mummy but a Kawaii one! Becoming a Mummy was the most exciting thing for me and I was blessed with a little baby girl on Christmas day, 2010. She was not planned for Christmas , it sorta just happened that she was a bit late. Teehee. As most of you know, I refer to her as 'Chibi'.  Meaning-'' little or small person'' in Japanese. This post is a bit of a mix of stuff for you and your little ones.

Being a Mummy has it's challenges. Its tough, its the hardest job in the world. Lots of Hard work, stressful moments of tantrums and there can be a lot of tears, Oh and don't forget the lack of sleep! But its worth every moment. ( Maybe not at the time when your little on is throwing the toys out the cott or wearing his or hers dinner instead of eating it.) huhuh ..

How to be a Kawaii Mummy- its not that hard really! If you are into Kawaii stuff already it makes things a lot easier! The most important thing I think of is - Can I make it Kawaii or do it come in a Kawaii version?

Hints and tips

Think about the stage that your child is at and adapt kawaii that will fit in that stage, I found when they are new born its not the most easiest  time to be a Kawaii mummy! Why? Mainly lack of sleep no one feels cute when they are super tired.I didn't really bother much at this stay but I did add Kawaii in the form of things such as Kawaii looking Change bags or niffy gadgets that were decorated in Kawaii Characters, Decorating baby's room in cute things. The biggest thing I did was having toys in Japanese Kawaii characters for baby to explore. As well as playing Totoro on DVD instead of  normal kids TV for a change. Totoro is Chibi's most loved film - that and Spirited away.

When Baby gets to toddler and the pre-school age. ( where mummy-hood ease's off and you finally get back a full nights sleep again.)Things get more interesting because you really have lots of fun at this stage! They start to get really interesting and independent. Am loving this stage and since I have brought Chibi bean up around Kawaii items and such she can identify the difference between Kawaii ( Japanese cute) and Cute. She knows most of the Kawaii characters and loves to watch Sailor Moon.

Fashion and accessories

Being cute is not just for your little ones, check out high street shops for Hello Kitty and other Kawaii characters to dress you and your little chibi's up with. It can be oneies for those lazy days off nursery or matching outfits inspired from J-fashions, Yup you can even get from Bodyline Lolita for little ones too! And its super easy to find even Pastel and Fairy Kei items for them. Nyaa it great to dress up and have fun! Oh and don't forget about your Kawaii matching accessories some times the Children sections are much more fun to pick out items.

Don't give up on your personal fashions when you become a mummy, If you enjoy your fashion then wear it. However when it comes to going to meet other mummies, at places such as Toddler groups, Nursery and Pre- school, You will find as I have, you stand out slightly. I find that I tone down my Kawaii-ness. However my love for Hello Kitty has not gone un-noticed, the other kids know me for being the mummy who loves Hello kitty ,teeheee!!

I dont wear my j-fashion styles for nursery runs or play dates. Instead I will come up with other ideas by wearing bright colours or use a Kawaii Character hand bag. Fun cute shoes (weather permitted.) Wear cute tops , if I am not in the mood for that I wear my bright Cat hats that can fold the ears down so its not so in your face. When out and about shopping I do look for both toned down items and over the top ones for the days. Heehee!  Nail polish and fake deco-den nails are something that you can easily do. Or why not shock on lookers with a new hair do and wear a wig! I also found wearing wigs were great when you had a sleepless night and had no time to even look at a chance of getting a shower.

Other Mummy Hint and Tips.
  • No matter what keep smiling a smile always makes you super cute.
  • Try and make things Kawaii or cute , if your stuck for ideas hop online and search things like Kawaii food ideas or fun cute ideas for children.
  • Look for Kawaii or similar cute Characters on everything from umbrellas to accessories  for your little ones and  matching ones for you!
  • Do fun and cute things like making cute cupcakes or going out for after-noon tea in your best J-fashion outfits together.
  • Encourage your little ones to be cute and act polite and sweet.
  • Introduce them to the Kawaii things you like, anime, games, characters, J-music ect.The list goes on and on here.
  • Look for things online likes of baby stuff from over seas to get the ultimate Kawaii change/ nappy bag and accessories for baby's. Pick Kawaii items over dull looking ones from Rainbow shaped pillows and colourful bed throws.
  • Always keep in mind and a eye out for pratical cute/ Kawaii  stuff too!

I hope you enjoyed a bit of a insight of being a Kawaii mummy and the things I have done with my my own little chibi. I hope to be able to expand on these topics as my kawaii journey of being a kawaii mummy continues!

Kawaii Mummy-Ideas for little ones fun meal times!

Hello every Cutie and Kawaii mummy out there!
Today I will be letting you into some of my Kawaii secrets for ideas for little ones meals! Yep this is a post for all you kawaii Mummys out there!

Some times it really hard to get our little chibi-cuties to eat their meals - we all have and all will go through this stage or stages of them not wanting what we put in front of them...huhuh. But don't worry its only a phase,So please don't stress your self's out, I found after stressing out over wasted food and tears. That you just have to go with the flow!

So today I thought that I would share these ideas that  would be at least a a few ideas for food for your little chibi's! Am going to start off with the idea to pick super cute cutlery plates and cups too, I have found all cute characters in your local supermarket from Hello kitty to Mickey mouse. It's good to pick the characters your little one knows of to help make it look all about more encouraging and appealing for them to use.

Or why not get it in lots of rainbow colours in your cutlery! We have lots or pretty rainbow shades of forks and knifes in our kitchen drawer that I bought from the seasonal out doors summer sections (plastic picnic sets!) Such a clever idea! This some times really helps encourage little ones to use their own cutlery .

Preparing food-

The other idea I like to do is with the use of being a bit arty and kawaii is with the use of the cookie cutter, you can come up with so many ideas with simple shapes to kawaii character shapes! If you don't have a Cookie cutter even using a scone cake cutter can make circle shapes or why not just cut up the food in to shapes.

Say good bye to dull square toast in the morning's and say 'Hello' to Kitty and some '' Love'' heart Marmite toast- yum! Its me that likes the Marmite

Top- Tip ,If your little chibi is old enough , let them help get meal times ready! It can be very stressful if you are in a hurry but if you can give them the time to help , you may find they enjoy eating something that they have made for them self! It can be as simple as spreading their own toast!

As well as using cookie cutters, mould trays bento rice moulds can all be used to create a interesting looking meal. Why not decorate the meal on the plate and make a picture too?!

Encourage little chibi's to take part in making the pictures however sometimes the cute food pictures might not work so try cutting food up in small pieces or even grate food. And with a bit of imagination, who would say no to a Cheese (Grated) hill. My chibi loves to grate her own cheese.

Making food look fun can make it super Kawaii too! It's all about presentation!

Why not find food stamps with shapes these sandwiches look soo yummy!
Oh and don't forget to cut up the ham, cheese fruit, veggies to go inside the sandwiches too!
You can find lots of ideas form bento box websites and all over the internet , take what you want from the sites and apply it you your own ideas as it do not need to be all about Japanese food, you can pick the foods you and your chibi's love to eat and make them look so cute.
Home pack lunches for the little ones and Kawaii lovers alike will love these ideas or  why not make picnics out and about  kawaii and use bento food pickers or dividers will add lots more fun and cuteness to meals! Oh and dont' forget to make sure your lunch containers are cute looking too!!
For some encouragment for chibis at school pack lunches check these cute memos to add into the lunch box for them Link here!
Till next time!

What's in your Bag, A Kawaii Mummy Post!

Hello every cutie!
Hope you all  seen doing well! Nya! So I thought I would do a fun post, I've seen these on you tube and other formats of media and thought I would give it ago . huhuh! Am the type of person to like to have a range of bags for different things so I will give you a run through on the ones I used the most!

My first bag is my cute personal bag which is not used as often, I used this bag with my close friends, itsoften a smaller bag that only fits my must needs. Which contains the following of my house keys, phone and purse. Yep- I only use this if we are shopping or a day trip out. Maybe if am not straying to far from the house , I might use it. Or heading to the movies with my friends. I would use the likes of my cartoon 3D bag or some thing like a clutch bag .  Or if I really want to show off I will pick some thing bright or fancy like my loungefly bag. (Love that bag!)

The next bag  would be my bag I used the most which is often my larger sized bags or a tote shopper style bag, those bags are great, right!? I guess I would call this the Kawaii Mummy bag  I really do like my handbags hehe. These are only some of them mind you. Most are the shopper style which helps get everything inside for what am needing . I like my bags to look fun cute and quirky so am always looking for cute new bags! (shh don't tell the hubby! ' I have enough bags...said no woman ever!)  I will used these shopper bags a lot  they are much more cuter looking that plastic bags, so I tend to used these when I need to pop out and get some stuff from the local shop.

When it comes to events I will be using these bags or my more smaller ones, maybe some bags will go with my inspired outfits too,( watch this space!) but they will be teamed up with my Camera bag.  I have not found a super kawaii looking camera bag yet- I need one that is super safe to use for my camera to keep it from damage when travelling.

So what do I keep in my Bags?
Well because am a Mummy I have
to be on the ball! Ready for any thing well as much as I can be lol.

Well here we go, First off in my bag I have my personal items one being my Kawaii cute looking Purse- I love using this purse, its so colourful and bright. It seems to soften the blow when I spend my money  I also carry my Phone in my bag or on me when I have pockets!
I also  have a small compact mirror, A pen that is both red and blue ink, very handy to have one in my bag, I have My Dairy which I need alot with all these events and dates and a small note book which was a gift form a Fan! Its super handy to have a note book at hand when am out and about. I also have my 'Baby' Lip colour balm. All us yummy kawaii mummy's still need a treat of make up right!? I also keep pair of finger-less gloves cause its still pretty cold-ish weather. What else?
Oh I keep a book on me for the times at play group when none of the friendly mummy's are not there and handy to have a book on the train too to keep me busy.

Because Chibi bean is more of a toddler than a baby now she is over 3 she no longer needs bottles. So what I have in my Kawaii Mummy bag will be things I take such as a change of clothing if am taking her some where that is a good ride away.
What I don't have shown also is the juice cup I bring about with me you can never be over prepared, haha and some very important  bribe   treats in my bag too. hehe.  I have a few spare pull up pants for chibiThese are a must have in case of accidents! Baby wipes are also very important too, Any mummy can tell you that they are very handy to have. From wiping messy hands to those awkward moments when you find yourself in a public toilet with no toilet paper!  Gah!
Oh also the last item that I have in my bag is that funny looking green thing, which is a jungle themed fold away potty lid/seat, A few weeks back we were caught short and Chibi did not like the idea of using a adult size potty and refused to use it. So I hunted high and low for something to take on the go! It's a clever idea, you just unfold it and place it over the toilet. Sorted! It is also super light weight to pop into my hand bag, even better!

Well I hope you at least found my post some what interesting or amusing with the random things I have in my handbag! huhuh.
Enjoy the rest of your day cuties!

Showing off some art.

Hey cuties,
So this is more of a mummy post but I guess it could come in handy for some of you. As a mummy I like to let chibi bean express her creative side, I think its cute.
We do pens, paint, make and crafting, but it was getting to the point where I could no longer display her pieces of art on the fridge. Not only that my magnets were starting to give up as chibi bean was putting piece after piece of art up on top of each other. I found while making a cup of tea I could no longer find a way into the fridge. I started to look for some ideas on the internet a way to display her cute art with out pinning it on the walls or the fridge. There was a lot of ideas but I found one which was like a huge sheet of plastic that had been set up into pockets to put drawing and even photos into it. For displaying and you hung it over a door or on the wall. But it cost quite a bit!

But I looked at it again and was like ...wait are those just not like multi polly pockets you would have in a folder! (light turns on above my head.)
So I grabbed a few of my old file pockets and stuck them together..haha that simple!

So you get the idea here are a few photos of our Kawaii Art displaying ideas.

I made 2 sets with 4 pockets each and tied on some string to hang them.
There is also a string with baby pegs with some of our photo's of family in the middle. Also a idea that can display photos or pictures. You can find cute pegs from Hobby craft .

It was really easy to do , Just some sticky tape and stick them together. You can hang these up anywhere.
We spend a lot of time up at the table so that's why we put it here.
Also I got a Cake stand for Christmas and I felt it was a bit to pretty to only bring out to use for just cakes soo..

As you can see it had become a bit of a display for all the pens in the pot , a home for Kitty and Mimmy and a place to keep the buttons. Yes our buttons go missing a lot so this is home for them...but they only stay there if I place them there. If some one else has...it can become a interesting game of find the buttons.
So I guess you could apply the idea to Posters or other pictures, maybe even penpal letters or something.
Maybe you might want to make different sized pocket holders and tape them in different shapes.

Hope you like the post!
