Lime Crime-Kawaii make up review

Ah finally, getting round to a new review blog post yay!

So this posts review is about my latest purchase of products by Lime Crime. A product that is made in the USA and known for its bright colourful shades and tones. I have come across Lime Crime in the past and always liked the look of the brightly  products but never really got around to purchasing them -manly because I didn't know if I could in the UK or not. However in the end I did realise I could get the products on ebay and a few UK online make up shops or just ordering from Lime Crime in the USA its self. So far I have tried all these methods and not had any issues with shipping or such. So I know if I can not get it on one of these ways I can with a other.- great stuff.
So what did I get?!
The 1st product I ordered was one of the Velvetines, I picked the pink one as the red one was out of stock everywhere or I had to play way over the odds for one! But I like pink and wanted to try it- I heard a lot about this product about how amazing it is and how bright and colourful the shades are.
I also heard and read many reviews on how long lasting the product were when on the lips which really took my interest. Also the Velvetines are a Gloss product that dry into a matt once on.
I was super over the moon when I item came and I fell in love with the product packaging and the product itself. I knew from that point I had to get myself some more of the Velvetines. I now have the following , Pink Velvet, Utopia and Red Velvet. And I love them all.

Why do I like these? I love the long lasting colour, I barely have to touch up my lip make up as its like the stuff is bullet proof , Kiss proof and compared to other bright colours there was barely a trace of any left lip mark on my mugs of tea or on toast! I love the colours and the fact its a matt finish. I also noted they had a nice scent to them as well.I did find it was hard to get them perfectly lined with the brush that they come with so I use a lip brush to outline my lips when I use these. I am not personally keen on shiny gloss looks on my lips so these are perfect for me!Moving on to the other products I ordered 3 Unicorn lipsticks in the end, I really wanted to try them to see how they matched up to the Velventines.

The colours I ordered were, Airborne unicorn which is a purple - Lavender shade. Centrifuschia  which is a fushica like pink shade. The other one being Pink Planet which is more of a baby pink pastel shade.Pinks and reds are more my sort of colours but I found the ones I have got in the past have not being bold in colours even in a pastel shade so I wanted to test these out to see if I get the shades I wanted on my lips. The 1st time I tried them I fell in love with Centrifuschia I love the colour and it applied well, don't need to much colour might I add to get this shade in its full glory. As for the others well its a bit of a love hate feeling with Airborne unicorn, I personally love the look of it but am not sure if I really suit it, I feel its a bit weird in tone on my lips I did find if I apply it very lightly I get a better tone but its a hard one to use, -just my thoughts there or I am not applying it right! haha! Again seems to be the same with the pink planet all the pastel shades maybe? But again applying them lightly seems to work well .All of the lipsticks are all scented in a lovely vanilla smell. Over all I do like these but have to really apply with care and thought.

The last item I got was a eye liner in reason a slivery glittery shade its a lovely eyeliner and glides on with ease when used. Its not very noticeable but then I have not really used it for a over all look yet. I would love to try 2 other shades one being blue milk and a purple shade one. I will be trying out the new Venus Palette full of really nice shades of eye-shadows that took my interest- I hunted high and low for other brands offering same kinds of shades but nothing has turned up close so I went ahead to treat myself to this so am rather excited.

Over all what do I think of the products? I think you get a lovely kawaii looking product that gives lovely shades and a variety of bright bold and pastel shades, they might not be for every one. I guess I might buy some other shades in the Velventines as they are my fave so far. I do find they are quite pricey but not as crazy as high end priced brands. I would like to see new shades and variety. I would recommend the Velventines over the lipsticks personally. I do however love my purchased products so far!

What do you think of these products- should I do a video review on these? Do any of you want to see these on me then check out my Instagram here !!

Make- up review~ Japanese or UK make- up?!

Hello there Cuties! Hope you are all well and ready for this review.
I for some time been wanting to but some Japanese make up as well as some Korean make up too,
Maybe its all in my head but I wanted to compare the brands with each other and see if it is worth it to buy the other brands from over sea or not.

So far I have only 2 lip tints form a Korean shop which I use  more a less every second day. Am a huge make-up junkie anyway and want to try over-sea make up.
I also wondered if by using over seas make up if it would improve my skills and create more Japanese styles in make up or look more doll like.

So I bought 2 eye palette's one new form Barry M ( Natural Glow.)as you all know I adore Barry M make-up and a Japanese make up palette called Kanebo Lavshuca melty hearts. This is my 1st comparision review so please be gentle on me, nya!

As you can see the item is well  displayed. It has a nice selection of colours to pick from to create a natural  glow in eye make up with a Blusher too . The pressed eye shadow takes a wee bit of rubbing to get a good amount on the applicator but the blusher was easy to use, I think its cause the shadows are in small spaces.
Here is a photo of the eye make up with my own eye-liner and mascara which I have kept the same when I used the other make up too.

I have to say I am slightly disappointed on the colours from BarryM this time as normally the colour's are great, this palette colours where far to light for my personal liking even the darker shades.
I think using a wet brush might help with these colours but I was planning to use these more for my casual days and everyday but I think I will not use it as much as I was hopping.
However!
The lightness of the colours is still very good for beginners and for making your eyes look larger but the dark colours will not be the best for making shadows.
I shall be sticking to the Trio colour pallet from now on!!

Moving on the Japanese Palette Lavshauca.
Here are some Photos of the Packaging of the product.

The Palette is cute, but its tiny! Which put me off the applicator also was a bit fiddly I picked some natural shades, this one has some lights and darks in more browns it was had to find something to match BarryM  completely. As you can see you don't get a Blusher or as many colours but you got this stunning red.

Again the Colours were very light but they seemed to have a better pigment which was good for both highlighting and shadows. The Red was a nice touch but you could easily by a red eye shadow to use.
The colours were hard to use with the given applicator - so I used my own brush for the red to line it more than blend. Maybe I was being a bit light handed with the shades.

Overall thoughts...
I do love BarryM , I really do but this product, is not for me personally,I do like the overall look and display of the item. The Japanese one was really small which was a bit annoying.
However I would say that I much prefer the Melty Hearts out of the two products for the colours pigments.
Even the price can't sway me even though Barry M was Cheaper I still am picking Mety hearts over it , the price was more thanks to shipping.
My thinking is for doing Japanese make up find a brand you like and find the basics of doing Japanese styles, like creating bigger eyes I think that the Japanese brands might be slightly  better for these sort of styles as they are trendy over there and wanted.Where over here we are not after that sort of look ( Just yet.) I think if you can master the basics of make-up and styles then any good make up will work on your benefit. This would not stop me form trying more Japanese brands and make up even Korean makes though!

Make up and Why I wear it.

On the facebook group Kawaii Bloggers that I created I saw a blog entry that was really interesting and I wanted to take part and do a similar post about make-up.
Make up, not every one can leave the house with out make up on,some like to use it to express themselves too,I have seen some wonder make up skills online and to me make up can help enhance the beauty one already has.
I love make up but I can go for days with out any on at all, maybe its cause Im a stay at home mummy and it dont bother me even if I have to run out to the shop for milk ect.

So to start off, you've got to upload a photo of your face with only one side of your make-done, the other side has to be natural. Editing your natural beauty side is not allowed!
