Spiritually Kawaii

Hello Kawaii Kitten's,
So I wanted to do a post on something here for a while now about my current inner search. So I guess this is a personal kind of post. For a while now I have been riddled with being unwell and out of sorts. I think it gave me a bit of a wake up call. Both mentally and physically.

Most of the time I only share Kawaii related topic and such and it would be easy to think that is what I am solely about ,however with my wake up call or maybe re wake up call? I have other interests and hobbies.  Spirituality has been a natural like path for myself being pagan , am very attune to it and nature.  I love the fact I can walk in the forests near by and take a time out or spend time in my flower beds and vegetable patch . I can with ease find myself by the coast line and enjoy the blissfulness around. I think we all need to have a place we can chill out. But sometimes I think, I have lost myself and now am finding that its time to rekindle that side to me for my health and being.

Back to being a Kawaii Mama and life again

Hey guys - how are you all?
So what's new? I have not done a Blog post in a while. I have been visited by the charm of mother nature - which have dragged me down and am back to the reality of the School Runs of being a Kawaii Mama. *sigh* Which has left me limited to blogging. See this is why I adore the school holidays I can get everything done! And not need to worry if I can get away with being Super Kawaii and having them odd looks from the other mums, in saying that am finding that they like my bright pink lippy , so I guess am braking them in slowly - heh-.

Do you ever feel that cause you love cute stuff or anything in this matter , that you have to tone it down around others cause your not up for explaining every single time that its just your style? I don't have the time to explain or express at 8am in the mornings while dropping off a 3 year old who likes to refuse to go into the class and then abandons me as soon as she see's her play pals. I just don't have time too. lol! I need to head back and use the very little time of freedom to blitz the house and tidy it up.

Over the holidays, I have been having fun with events and lots of play time with my daughter and spending time as a family its always nice and sometimes stressful. It also gives me a chance to explore and have some fun with Kawaii fashion with out getting the odd risen eyebrow from other mothers and have started up my You tube videos again - yay! On my You tube you can get enjoy my Kawaii Character Videos ! I hope to do as many as I can and try and do them every weekend. when I have the time too. Please Check them out if you like! Here is the Link!

The other week I went to a Alice in wonderland themed Cafe  which was a nice change, Its a nice place in Edinburgh City I was taken there are a treat with my Sister while we had been shopping.

I have a few photos on my Instagram from being there so check it out! Its a cute little place, that has bits and pieces form the Alice in wonderland movie and films. Such as a Table and Chair on the ceiling, The red queens rose garden and art from the movie's in frames that are all topsy turvy. It's more of a tea room than a cafe and plenty of brews to pick from the selected menu. We only had time for a rose lemonade and cake!

So while keeping busy I am also know contributing to a UK website full of interesting and up to date information from Games to Anime called Cyten worth checking them out! I will be their Kawaii lifestyle contributor along side Kawaii fashion Queen and cutie Aisha Anime! www.cyten.co.uk

I have a few upcoming projects and events at least these are a bit more spaced out that the start of the year! But I will be attending MCM - Scotland in a sorta attempt of Cosplay , keep a eye on my Facebook to find out some clues for this! As well I be at the Scottish Gaming Expo and  Aunchinawa this year.  So if you do spot me and wana come say Hello then be sure to come on over I don't bite and I will have my Camera on me too. Oh and am only 2 units away from completing my Photography course and I have some projects that I will be needing some models for! which is really cool too!

So yea sorry its a bit of a dull post but I thought maybe you all were bored of reviews and such and would love to get your feed back on the stuff you wana see, hear and know about on both my blog and you tube since am using both much more than I did in the past! - huhuh-
So till next time Laters

Welcome Back!

Welcome back, Okay I shall act normal and just say AM BACK!

Well, What a roller-coaster ride its been since I logged off and came back to the cyber world. So I shall sum it all up for you.I have been away and on holiday (visiting family.)Which was nice until I discovered my faithful Camera died when I took it out to get lots of family snaps and holiday photos
...yep I was pretty heartbroken , it put a damp mood on me for the whole week. The worst part was I was not sure when it could be fixed as soon as I got back from my holiday due to moving house.

I had a week to Pack up and move out to our new house. These things never flow smoothly and once we got into the house it was not long till we realised there was only one set of keys and hubby had work the next day leaving me key-less.
So a week of staying in the house and the spare keys finally handed in . I could get out and explore the area.
It was the 2nd week of being in the new house I finally got my camera back. (YAY!) And she works like a dream again..I say she I feel that my camera is a girl okay?!LOL.

Am still un-boxing and clearing out clutter and rubbish. I have been busy painting  rooms likes of Chibi beans and doing the odd bit of Do It Yourself building like units and such. As its a bigger house its rather bare!
So am slowly settling into my house and area. I have a lot of plans for decorations and dcor.
The lull of having no internet - I have to admit a month with no internet and barely any signal on my phone oh and no land line too has driven me up the wall. I hated the feeling like I was lost and I left I was falling being in my dreams of Kawaii! Also it felt like a complete ban on internet shopping *Cries*.

But the good news is its back on , connected and am back online on here my kawaii blog and Facebook! Yay! So that's really whats' happened nothing to crazy just a bit of a bumpy ride!
I have a ton of posts to work on and so much to add to the blog. I hope you are all ready to stay tune and keep up with it,I will be changing a lot of the look of the blog and adding interesting posts!
I can not wait to get started and get your feedback!
So till next time!

Stay Kawaii

Tartan meets the lovely Peach Nia

This is the 1st Kawaii Interview on Stay super kawaii, who I will be interveiwing Peach Nia a stunning lady with class and a huge love for animals. Please be gentle its my 1st ever Blog Interview!

*^__^*

''My name is Peach Nia
I live in the north of England with my lovely husband and furbabies.
I am a huge animal lover, vegetarian and love to make things!

Being such a huge animal lover I loathe animal testing.

I try to educate people about this kindly, without the horror stories or upsetting images, instead through kindness, love and education.

Being a crafty gal I love the idea of creating our own cruelty free products and living as chemical free in our home as we can.I adore making things, all manner of things and all manner of crafts.

I fell in love with all the japanese cuteness 10 years ago, the fake food with faces theme really captured me.

My crafts developed so much that I finally had my own website called dollyday.co.uk selling my cute handmade jewellery of fake chocolates and cupcakes etc. I loved it. Sadly due to illness I had to close my site so now I tend to create for friends and family and recently make things for charity which I love.

I like to dip my toe in as many crafts and give them a whirl.

I can sew, sculpt clay, use resin, crochet and knit although I am a begginer in the last two.Through my blog I also adore to promote other women and companies that really inspire me with their creations.''

Hello Peach,Thank you so much for being my 1st Kawaii person to interview!

*^_^*

We would love to get to know you more can you tell us more about your furbabies?

I have three gorgeous moggies (Cuba, luna and Oreo)
I have two amazing Chihuahuas (Captain and Levi) They are my babies.
I don't have human children but I feel I have my furry kids and spoil them rotten!!

They have taught me a lot about love, forgiveness and compassion and how to play!
They astound me, they have such a zest for life and endless love to give.
We can learn so very much from animals.

How do you do your part to help all animals and their charity's?

A portion of my Husband's wages each month go to our charity The Dog's Trust, a wonderful organisation that helps a great deal of dogs get rehomed.
They never put a healthy dog down and I love the amazing work they do, the education they give out all for dog's health and happiness.

I give to the PDSA, which is a very special charity that helps people on low incomes with vet treatment for their animals.
There are PDSA hospitals dotted around the country and all funded by donations, no government help, so it really is super important to help them.
Without them the people on lower incomes could not afford to take their pets to the vets, so those animals would suffer, die or end up in a shelter, so it really is close to my heart to help them.
What I would like to do is create a line of goods (handmade) where all the profits made go to these charities I have mentioned and more animal charities. I would love to fundraise too. I have a few ideas. I'm just getting started.

In What  other ways can we do our bit to help animal Charity's?

I am a big advocator of using cruelty free products.
I won't go into details but animals are tested on in such vile ways!
;~;
So I use natural ingredients in my home to clean it, like Vinegar, bicarbonate of soda etc.
I make my own products many times.
I educate others about it on my blog and I support The Hadwen Trust, a very special trust that fights for humane non animal medical testing.
They do such fantastic work, really worth giving support to, if you care for animals.

Tell us, when did you start getting into crafting?

I sadly fell ill with Fibromyalgia a decade ago, so couldn't work. I have a very active mind so crafting was a pefect way to occupy my mind/hands and keep me out of mischeif!
Clay and felt were my first mediums. I made all fake food related items, like cupcakes, chocolates etc.

When was the 1st time you came across the word Kawaii and when did
you fall in love with Kawaii fake faces with Kawaii expressions?

I first came accross it (the word kawaii ) about 9 years ago online, along with "sweet lolita" and "Japan" etc, I then found out all about the wondeful cuteness of Japan, with all the sweet "food with faces" fake food jewellery and sweetness of fashions, which at the time was a huge relief from all the over sexual images in popular culture.
The sweet ruffles, cute smiles, knee high socks, it all was very "me" I fell in love with it all. I didn't want to look "sexy" I wanted to look "cute" It aligned with who I was perfectly.

Do you like any anime or anime films?

I love Anime! My favorite is Spirited Away...My Neighbor Totoro and Ponyo. I have a lot of anime I am yet to see though!
I find the animation just beautiful, real eye candy and the stories are magical. They are a great way to escape into fantasy worlds. I just adore them.

Tell me what is your favourite Colour?

My most favorite colour is turquoise. I love it as a hair colour, in clothing, to look at I find it very calming.

Where do you see your self in the next 5 years?

In the next five years I would be thrilled if I had created a line of handmade goods for charity that sell well.
I would love to be doing very well with fundraising.
I would also love to be moved to Brighton by then too.
I would love to be illustrating by then.
Whatever I do and wherever I am in five years.
I and sure it will be where I am supposed to be.

Oh my you are going to be very busy then !
What would you like to achieve one day and what's you biggest Dream?

I have many dreams! I would love to be able to illustrate, be a graphic designer.
My passionate dream is to really make a difference to animals somehow.
I want to make a difference in the world!

Peach you have so much passion for your animals, nothing makes me sad hearing about all those Kawaii animals have no voice to stand up to the abuse and treatment they have to go through.
TT_TT
So Lets give what we can to some charity's that Peach Nia Supports!

A Wig Review

So I have ordered 3 wigs form a wig online shop,Geisha wigs.
The 1st wig I got I did a Blog and was happy with my purchase of the Vamp twin fall wig.
I went on to order the Galaxy Wig and Apple Toffee Wig.

So this is a more neutral review with the good and not so good on the wigs

What I  like about the shop was the prices they are low but I still stand by my statement of if you want a wig to last and want a quality wig suitable for long wear and modelling/Lolita  'You get what you pay for.' Rings true.
The Galaxy wig is very shiny and when I did make a comment on the wigs shiny-ness in one of my own photos, I was told that I had parted the wig wrong  by the shop.
Which sorta left me a bit like what?!
I have worked with real and fake hair for a long time as Hair dresser and never ever heard such nonsense in my life.Parting the hair has no effect on the shine-ness of a wig. Then later it was recommended  on the page of the shop to use  normal hair 'Dry shampoo'' to reduce the shiny-ness of the wig ,Normal Products for your hair really shouldn't be used on wigs (See my past Wig care post).
However I can cope the shinny-ness its not the end of the world.

The other thing that concerned me was the wigs fibres form taking them out the bag and giving it a gentle brush with a wig wide tooth comb, they started to fall out more freely than any of other wigs even the Vamp wig never had much fibre loss.
I understand know all wigs will lose some fibres but this had just come out the packet.
 ; ~ ;
(tear)

However the wig colours are completely stunning which is why I got the wig ,The mix is Blues Blacks Pinks,Its just lovely and very in with the Galaxy print trend Right know. The length of the wig is great not to long or to short,The inside wig cap is neat and tidy I found the wigs rather Thin.
Moving on to the Apple Toffee wig,I ordered this wig same time as the Galaxy but due to the supplier of the shop there was a mix up.So I chose to wait for the next batch of wigs for it to come in.I didn't mind ,these things happen of course.
I was offered a other wig or I could wait.I was in no hurry.
So waited.

I got the Apple Toffee wig today and again put it on to see how it looked.
I was touching the bangs and again fibres started coming lose?!
The same problem coming up the fibre loss.

This wig is  like the Vamp  maybe they are better ones out of the 3 I have bought,But loss of fibres are a pain its like cat hair or dog hair falling on your outfits and everything. So annoying! Maybe I have been unlucky with the wigs.Other may have had better luck.
The 2 ponytail wigs the Apple toffee is a lot shorter but had very tight curls, some which were matted but I can deal with that.
The clips on the wig are good though for the pony tails strong and not to big or over powering, and a good grip on the base of the wig.The wig base is very light and thin, the volume comes form the Pony tails.
Again I  do adore the colours maybe my most love colour way bit this wig do seem more matt that the other too.
I am wondering if this is due to a change of supplier of wigs to the shop its seems possible but I can not tell as each wig has varied  in consistency from shine and matt.

As you have read I do have mixed feelings of the wigs and the company.
Over all they are okay.
But I don't think they are long lasting with the fibre loss or a good quality compared to the other wigs I have from the bigger companies.
However these Wigs are the type of wigs Id maybe buy for a fancy dress outfit or a for a bit of fun.
I  will  use my wigs but I do not think they will be able to keep up with the demand of being a Lolita/Wig wearer and modelling.
But if your buying as a 1st time wig wearer or for a bit of fun fair enough go for it,But My personal thoughts are they are not as good a quality as other wigs and what you pay for is what you get.
On a side note,I was rather upset about the company's unprofessional manner using my own modelling work for clothing company, with out permission from me or the company and showcasing it in a album 'our wigs modelled' in which  I feel is very misleading to customers as I am not one of their models.

Over all rating 2 out of 5.

However no matter what...
Stay super Kawaii !
