Hyper Japan x Tartan

Hey every one, today's post is more of  a personal take on Hyper Japan. I hope you enjoy it!
My adventure started on by leaving super early on Thursday. Spent the whole day in London and suffered from the heat!  Taking shade at the Natural History Museum and drinking lots of bubble tea.

It was super busy inside but I got some very stunning shots with my camera, I got stopped at the door for my bag to be searched  I was super embarrassed because the part they looked in was full of Lady products. -OMG *DIES*. Ending up spending most of our day in the museum and then returned for a early night to rest up for Friday the start of the Hyper Japan weekend.

Friday was a case of getting up dressed, wearing a Tartan Fuku( but of course!) , bracing the heat as the even started at noon and heading over to the event , my hubby joined the queue and I found Angela from the blog life in the kawaii lane, which was so nice to meet a fellow blogger and Kawaii lover after that I had to exchange my paper work for my press pass, I meet some lovely members who were press too and  walked into the event. Only staff were in there, staff and the vendors setting up. It was empty. I was over whelmed and the first thing you feel is the sheer size of the event and size.

I enjoyed looking around all the stalls and exhibitor's. The Traditional performers were breath taking and the other performances where so enjoyable. I also meet up with Cutesy Kink a UK clothing  retailer and spoke away to the awesome store owner. I loved the fact that these events bring folk together. Then I headed over to a other store stall Artbox, I been a fan of ArtBox a long long time and they recognised me haha maybe cause I spent most of my birthday money at their online shop, I bought a few things from them and enjoyed the rest of the day. It was much more relaxed that day and not as busy you could easily walk about with out getting in any ones way. I also meet the lovely Aisha from The Anime UK show and we got our photo taken with digital Domo...we were a bit gutted about this we wanted the REAL domo! As a big Domo fan we want the real thing haha. Soon enough we found out that the real Domo would be around later so like a hawk, fangirl... I kept going back to find him and got my photo taken with him!! YAY!!

Hyper Japan 2014

Hyper Japan! The UK's biggest Japanese culture convention. Held often twice a year in London.
This year was my 1st time at Hyper Japan. Something I saved up for and put aside my time just to go. I am going to spilt up my post in two, Day one and Day two. Because there is so much to show and tell. I went both Friday and Saturday. (Blog post is image heavy )

Day One:t ( A run through of what to find and discover at Hyper Japan.)
Wow , even over a hour or so before the event there was a queue, the sun was belting down on all those in the queue and it was so hot! Any way once the doors were open it did not take long for the room to fill up, in no time there was people everywhere. The first thing you are greeted by is the huge character Chopper , signs for each area hanging from the ceiling and a sea of vendors. One main stage at the right rear and 2 smaller stages. Each one full of performers, music, fashion and even someKawaii robots. To be really honest I did not know where to start so as there was so much to take in.

There was a huge Games area from Arcade games to trying out, the WiiU and the 3DS. Am pretty old school with my consoles- lol- So I gave my best at having a go of the newer consoles and failed miserably. It was pretty fun, there was a lot of hard core gamers and so much going on in this one small area of the event. If you went walking about that area you had the chance to meet and greet Mario, Luigi , Pac-man and Pikachu Mascots, I missed Pikachu...I was so gutted but never mind! Please excuse my bad photo of me with Mario and Luigi, Hubby took it and my face is hidden in shadow! - eeep-

Game's were not the only high technology at the event! There was a on screen Domo Kun ( a Japanese TV mascot for the Channel NHK,) that you could get your photo taken with and a small section of the most adorable looking robots ever to. Adding to the musical element was Hyper Vocaloid.

Doj-con Event

Hello Kawaii Fan's.
So at the weekend I went to Scotland's free anime convention. Doj-con.
I arrived about a hour into the event, it was a really good event and more so for some one that has never been to a event. Like myself.

When I got there there was no need to stand in line, more a less walked right in, I went with my sister who wanted to take some photos and see what all the fuss was about.Any how the event was on all 5 levels.I didn't get  into see any talks or join in any battles or games, I really was just wondering around taking everything in to be honest.I felt sorry for those on the stalls they looked all very crammed in and thought that they would have been better having spread them out on all the other levels but hey that's just me!.The amount of folk there was impressive. At points it felt like you were just standing in one place to get past or trying to join a flow of cosplayer's and people to get out of the levels to the next.I was actually dreading stairs with so much traffic but it was fine once every one stayed to the left...It was like being back at school haha!
Any how here is a bunch of Photo spam for you all to enjoy!

My sweet yet toned down outfit co-ord for the event,I wore my brand new wig from Lockshop too and really liked the whole outfit .I really love wearing beret hats too hehe
Here are more photos from the event its self.
