Hyper Japan x Tartan

Hey every one, today's post is more of  a personal take on Hyper Japan. I hope you enjoy it!
My adventure started on by leaving super early on Thursday. Spent the whole day in London and suffered from the heat!  Taking shade at the Natural History Museum and drinking lots of bubble tea.

It was super busy inside but I got some very stunning shots with my camera, I got stopped at the door for my bag to be searched  I was super embarrassed because the part they looked in was full of Lady products. -OMG *DIES*. Ending up spending most of our day in the museum and then returned for a early night to rest up for Friday the start of the Hyper Japan weekend.

Friday was a case of getting up dressed, wearing a Tartan Fuku( but of course!) , bracing the heat as the even started at noon and heading over to the event , my hubby joined the queue and I found Angela from the blog life in the kawaii lane, which was so nice to meet a fellow blogger and Kawaii lover after that I had to exchange my paper work for my press pass, I meet some lovely members who were press too and  walked into the event. Only staff were in there, staff and the vendors setting up. It was empty. I was over whelmed and the first thing you feel is the sheer size of the event and size.

I enjoyed looking around all the stalls and exhibitor's. The Traditional performers were breath taking and the other performances where so enjoyable. I also meet up with Cutesy Kink a UK clothing  retailer and spoke away to the awesome store owner. I loved the fact that these events bring folk together. Then I headed over to a other store stall Artbox, I been a fan of ArtBox a long long time and they recognised me haha maybe cause I spent most of my birthday money at their online shop, I bought a few things from them and enjoyed the rest of the day. It was much more relaxed that day and not as busy you could easily walk about with out getting in any ones way. I also meet the lovely Aisha from The Anime UK show and we got our photo taken with digital Domo...we were a bit gutted about this we wanted the REAL domo! As a big Domo fan we want the real thing haha. Soon enough we found out that the real Domo would be around later so like a hawk, fangirl... I kept going back to find him and got my photo taken with him!! YAY!!

Kawaii Mummy-Ideas for little ones fun meal times!

Hello every Cutie and Kawaii mummy out there!
Today I will be letting you into some of my Kawaii secrets for ideas for little ones meals! Yep this is a post for all you kawaii Mummys out there!

Some times it really hard to get our little chibi-cuties to eat their meals - we all have and all will go through this stage or stages of them not wanting what we put in front of them...huhuh. But don't worry its only a phase,So please don't stress your self's out, I found after stressing out over wasted food and tears. That you just have to go with the flow!

So today I thought that I would share these ideas that  would be at least a a few ideas for food for your little chibi's! Am going to start off with the idea to pick super cute cutlery plates and cups too, I have found all cute characters in your local supermarket from Hello kitty to Mickey mouse. It's good to pick the characters your little one knows of to help make it look all about more encouraging and appealing for them to use.

Or why not get it in lots of rainbow colours in your cutlery! We have lots or pretty rainbow shades of forks and knifes in our kitchen drawer that I bought from the seasonal out doors summer sections (plastic picnic sets!) Such a clever idea! This some times really helps encourage little ones to use their own cutlery .

Preparing food-

The other idea I like to do is with the use of being a bit arty and kawaii is with the use of the cookie cutter, you can come up with so many ideas with simple shapes to kawaii character shapes! If you don't have a Cookie cutter even using a scone cake cutter can make circle shapes or why not just cut up the food in to shapes.

Say good bye to dull square toast in the morning's and say 'Hello' to Kitty and some '' Love'' heart Marmite toast- yum! Its me that likes the Marmite

Top- Tip ,If your little chibi is old enough , let them help get meal times ready! It can be very stressful if you are in a hurry but if you can give them the time to help , you may find they enjoy eating something that they have made for them self! It can be as simple as spreading their own toast!

As well as using cookie cutters, mould trays bento rice moulds can all be used to create a interesting looking meal. Why not decorate the meal on the plate and make a picture too?!

Encourage little chibi's to take part in making the pictures however sometimes the cute food pictures might not work so try cutting food up in small pieces or even grate food. And with a bit of imagination, who would say no to a Cheese (Grated) hill. My chibi loves to grate her own cheese.

Making food look fun can make it super Kawaii too! It's all about presentation!

Why not find food stamps with shapes these sandwiches look soo yummy!
Oh and don't forget to cut up the ham, cheese fruit, veggies to go inside the sandwiches too!
You can find lots of ideas form bento box websites and all over the internet , take what you want from the sites and apply it you your own ideas as it do not need to be all about Japanese food, you can pick the foods you and your chibi's love to eat and make them look so cute.
Home pack lunches for the little ones and Kawaii lovers alike will love these ideas or  why not make picnics out and about  kawaii and use bento food pickers or dividers will add lots more fun and cuteness to meals! Oh and dont' forget to make sure your lunch containers are cute looking too!!
For some encouragment for chibis at school pack lunches check these cute memos to add into the lunch box for them Link here!
Till next time!

Photos and Kawaii Cameras

Hey every cutie! I hope you are all well. I been looking at updating my Camera kits, and I happen to stubble across some super cute Cameras, They are so Kawaii!

Am sure you all know of the cute instant Polaroid cameras that every one seems to have but I came across some other Films to use in them that is super sweet and also a other camera that are really adorable that I had to share them with you!

These films I found can be used for the Fuji Film Instax Polaroid cameras. Are these not just so pretty ! With the choice of shiny stars or candy pop polka dots! However they can be really costly to buy * sheds tears*

You can also get cute accessories to add to your camera to get cute colour effects with your camera such as attachments to change the filter of  the colour and lens that you can add on too.  How cute are these?!

You can also get attachments that look super cute as My melody and Hello Kitty that have a mirror on the lens attachment to match with the themed Fuji Films that you can buy.

The other colourful  item was the Holga Camera that comes in a range of colours and it was the most colourful one that got my attention. I was rather tempted to buy one myself but I think it would just sit on my desk and look pretty.  I just love that is super cheerful and happy looking am sure who ever you were taken a picture of would smile seeing such a cute Camera.

I really like the cuteness of this camera . It looks just like a toy one!
I have no idea about them apart form they are your films cameras and would have to have to get the film sent away to be developed . I think they could be a lot of fun though. The other thing is they come in a range of colours too. So if you a kawaii lover or a keen photographer I think you would  like a camera like this!

Kawaii Easter ideas!

Hey every cutie!
Its almost Easter time, where all the shops decorated with spring themes, Easter eggs and chocolate sections are full to the brim and fashion goes to pastel shades.

There is a spring in our step and finally we can feel like wearing cute skirts and tops. Yay! Rabbits Chicks and baby animals are easy to find at this time of year and most of all baby animals are Kawaii .So here are some Easter Kawaii ideas for you all.

Lets being!
Easter decorations, what is else is super cute to dress up your bedrooms and rooms around the house.
I love those flag buntings you can either make or buy with ease. They can be both used for in doors and outside.

You can also be super creative with these as well why not make hanging Easter egg shapes, bunnies or maybe even some cute chicks to have on your bunting instead.

If bunting is maybe not your thing then why not  try stinging decorative kawaii spring items on some string or thread and have them hanging from a window or wall too.

As well as Decorating the house you can easily paint eggs with little ones over the easter holidays to keep them busy and have some fun. Why not make your Easter painted eggs into your kawaii characters from Sanrio and San-X.
Am sure you can come up with very cute and kawaii ideas for painting the eggs, these will make a cute centre piece on the table when you have guests over for Easter Sunday lunch.

Also did you know that you can get cute Easter themed Kawaii goods that you can give as gifts to your loved ones and kawaii friends!
Yep you can find likes of Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma and friends dressed up as the Easter Bunny and even a spring chicken, Kyaaa Kawaii!
What a great gift to give to some one.

Other ideas can be baking , Every one seems to like or enjoy baking at Easter, hot cross buns and many other things too, but you can make those just as Kawaii as anything else. From turning your normal cupcake into a Easter cupcake nest of mini eggs to making your own Kawaii Bunny shaped macaroons! Kyaa!

Oh and dont for get about wrapping up and presenting your gifts and displays with cute coloured gift wrap and picking cute Easter greeting cards too. Or why not have a shot at making your very own Easter bunny rabbit envelopes and letters with the use of Origami and picking pretty paper to leave a lasting impression for all your friends and family!
(You can use the bunny making evelopes as a skill for any birthdays and celebrations too, as they go down a treat like any other hand made gift.) *nods*

Have a Happy Kawaii Easter every one!

Kawaii Interview Time with Misadoll

Its Kawaii interview time every cutie! Today we have a very cute person to interview and they have so much to share with us that we are going to jump right into the interview! huhuh!
so lets get to it - Yattaa!

Hi , Hi please do tell us more about yourself!

Hello!~ My name is Misadoll! I'm 23, and I work in video games production. Aside from that, I own a Japanese-inspired fashion brand Pastel Doll (https://www.facebook.com/pasteldoll666?fref=ts)  with my friends Kaidoll and Celestiadoll. I love Lolita Fashion, and I also really like Creepy Cute styles.

Can you remember when and how did you get into Kawaii culture?

Since I was a little girl, I've played video games, so I think those were the gateway into understanding more about Japanese culture and being interested in Japan generally. I started having an interest in anime, and later on in my life I started taking Japanese classes. After visiting Japan when I was 20, I was really hooked <3 It's a beautiful place and it's full of kawaii culture!

Hehe so your a Kawaii addict too?!
What did you find that appealed to you in Kawaii Culture?

copyright Pastel Doll
I like sweet things, and I think Lolita fashion is very elegant and beautiful. For me, it seems like kawaii culture builds communities of people with similar interests, and I think it's that sense of community that appeals to be me too.

Can you tell us what do word Kawaii mean to you ?

Kawaii is something girls in Japan say A LOT. Kawaii is just the general essence of all things cute! I think it can apply to many different fashion styles, pieces of art, clothing and people! It's nice to hear such a positive word has become so popular <3

I love the sound of the word Kawaii myself , can you tell us what Kawaii styles would you say influence you and what would you say is your style?

I can never really settle on a particular style, and so I've got a mishmash of many subcultures in my wardrobe! My main fashion type is Lolita fashion and more recently, the Creepy Cute/Pastel Goth style. I also really like Fairy Kei, and have a fondness for Gyaru because it's a more grown up fashion. I love Ma*rs!

Where do you like to shop for your kawaii styles? ^^

I usually buy a bunch of clothes in Japan and bring them back - Harajuku and Shibuya are amazing for cute fashion! I like Angelic Pretty for Lolita Fashion, and I own some items from GLAD NEWS and Ma*rs. And since I own Pastel Doll, I get all of my wigs from our store! <3

WOAAH! that is so cool! Also I heard you won a model contest lately can you tell us more about it?

I did! It was all very exciting! Tokyo Royale is a store in Manchester specialising in alternative fashion, and they also have a range of Japan-inspired fashions. They hosted a modelling competition to be the face of the  brand, and to my surprise I won the contest! I was over the moon and very shocked, haha. I had a photoshoot with them not so long ago and it was really fun, I got to try on all sorts of cute clothes, and the other girls were really lovely too.

Sounds great congratulations , Can you give us a insight to what other Kawaii projects do you have planned?

For now my focus will be on Pastel Doll, I'm really excited to launch the store with my friends and I'm hoping people will really like our products. I want to bring this element of kawaii style to the UK and across the world! I love wigs, and I think ours are something new so I can't wait to show them to everyone. Stay tuned as we'll be launching sometime in the coming months!

OH can not wait to see how that works out for you *Excited* .Since being into Kawaii Culture would you say the way you do some things likes of your hair and make up ,Have they changed over time?

I would say so definitely! Originally, I was a goth and only wore black, so becoming interesting in kawaii fashion has definitely changed my style a lot! My hair is very long at the moment with milky tea highlights, but over the years I've had many unnatural styles. My make-up is a little more subtle now for daily wear but when I'm going out or doing a cosplay, I bring out the circle lenses and lashes!

Ah okay then do you have any 'can not live with out' items that are Kawaii?

I have to say, I'm very fond of my pink Pokemon lunchbox from the Pokemon Centre in Japan. It's a little bento box, so I use it to take my lunch to work, haha. That's an example of a kawaii item I use everyday!

Kawaii- So where do you shop for Kawaii goodies?

For goodies such as sweeties I usually head to Tofu Cute! Also, Artbox have a lot of cute things. I also really love Paperchase which is hugely popular at the minute and they have lots of cute stationary.

What kind or anime or manga do you like and what would you recommend to some one?

I'm hugely into girly anime, so I like romance stories. I really like Skip Beat because it's fun, dramatic, and the main character seems really relatable and realistic! I also like Stepping on Roses which is a lot more fantasy based. Love Com is great because it's really funny! And finally I'd recommend Peach Girl because it's a classic love triangle story!

Can you tell us music what do you listen too?

I used to do a radio show called Moshi Moshi and it specialised in J-pop and K-pop so those are my favourites! I like all the typical bands like 2NE1, Girls Generation, 4minute, Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu etc. I listen pretty much exclusively to these bands but I do like some other artists like Pretty Reckless and Porcelain Black.

Wow thats a lot of great music! Who would you pick Sanrio or San X ?

Sanrio <3 I went to Sanrioland, and omg the sparkles!

Haha!Am super jealous Sanrioland
!!! Okay And who would you say is your most loved Kawaii Character?

I'm gonna go classic here and say Hello Kitty. I own so many kitty items it's unreal (I doubt as much as you thought Tartan!) * Tartan Laughs out loud and grins*
My favourite character would probably be Sonic x Hello Kitty which is a plush character I won in Segaland.

Do you have a Kawaii Idol or some one that inspires you?

I think Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is amazing because she's built up a whole unique style and brand for herself. I also really love Sugarpill, because the way they built up their business is very inspiring especially for us as we are starting a business too!

If you could go anywhere for a day where would you go and what would you do?

Well I would kinda have to say somewhere crazy, like the moon. My friend Celestiadoll loves space, so maybe she'd want to come too!

Am your KAwaii Fairy and I want to know what would you wish for if you were granted 3 Kawaii wishes?

-To spread kawaii culture around the world!
-For my kawaii business to do well <3
-And of course, world peace! I couldn't leave that one out.

Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me! <3

Well thats our Kawaii interview wrapped up with Misadoll! Check out the links below for the store and more about Misadoll and her

Kawaii DIY Valentines Ideas Felt Hearts

Hello Cuties - again here is my last post for the run up for Valentines day!
I will be doing all my backing and chocolate making on the Thursday so its all freshly made for the 14th to give to my Valentines. I wonder if I will get many cards ( Heehee!!) Yea right! I will  Lucky to even get a card! (n_n)But this post again like the last one can be altered to what you want to use it for!
Today let's make Hanging felt hearts!
(sorry for the crappy Phone photos I cant load up any Camera ones at this time.)
Yay..What you will need is the following.
Sheets of Red felt
A heart template or shape to use as a guide
A pencil to trace the shape on the felt.
A needle
Thread
Scissors.

To start with you should get your heart shaper template and trace around it on the red felts. You do not need to use heart as you can pick any shape you want but cause is near Valentines day I picked hearts. Also they are very cute too. You can pick any colour of felts for your hearts as well so don't let what I have picked limit you in any way. Once you have traced out your shapes you will need the scissors for cutting them out.

Once you have cut them all out I made about 12 single hearts and paired them up to make them double sided, *DON'T throw away any scrap felt!* I paired up the hearts with the pencil showing on the outside and then took my thread and needle and started to do a simple stitch around them but not completely sewing them up, as I then turned them inside out.
Using the left over felts I used that to stuff the insides of my hearts making them into tiny plushie hearts. Make sure you cut up the extra felts into smaller pieces so they fit into the hearts hehe. Then finish sewing up the cute little heart. (^.~) Kawaii!

Do this with your paired up hearts and you should then have 6 plushie cute hearts. Know with the thread you will want to cut a long piece for string them all together as well. So make sure you have plenty thread.Starting with the first heart string it from the top of the heart in the middle and then thread on the second one from the bottom and the top. That way it will swing about less when hung. And then do the same with the rest till you get to the last one. Once at the top make sure to loop your thread and then its ready for hanging up!

Like I already said you don't have to stick with my guidelines of shape and colour. Why not make some stars or Clouds or what about rainbow coloured felts. Also you could add any sort of extra decorations for extra Kawaii fun!

I cant wait to see every one making Kawaii valentines ideas!
Feel free to send me pictures of your Kawaii Valentines DIY's I bet they are super cute.

Till next time!
<3 Stay cute.
Tartan.

Kawaii Interview time with Spiffykidd

Hey every cutie!
By know you are will have read a couple of interviews and I hope you are all enjoying them. This time I have the owner from Suger Trampoline. A Kawaii Esty Store found here and here As I said we will be interviewing the owner Spiffykidd today. So lets get to it!

First off, when and how did you get into Kawaii culture?
I first discovered kawaii culture when I was about fourteen or fifteen. I saw pictures of people at Harajuku station on various social networking sites such as Bebo (haha, I know!), and pictures of people trying to emulate the different styles, and I was immediately hooked!
Ahh I see! What did you find that appealed to you in Kawaii Culture?
I loved all the different colours and interesting styles. It was refreshing to me that the idea was to be cute rather than "sexy", as with mainstream fashion, which I never really felt comfortable in. The meetup aspect drew me in, too. I didn't used to have much of a social life, but through the shared interest of kawaii fashion I've managed to meet so many amazing people.

Please tell us ,what does Kawaii mean to you?

For me, kawaii means that you can be cute, edgy, and individual! There are no limitations to what you can do, and you can be as creative as possible.
Do you have a fashion that you would say is Kawaii and can you tell us a bit more about it?
I dress in sweet lolita a lot of the time. It's basically a style where you dress in pretty, fancy dresses, puffed out with petticoats, and finished off with accessories. I love it!

Kawaii!! What styles would you say influence you?

I take inspiration from all the different lolita styles, and I also really love fairy kei/Spank! style, and cult party kei. I try to be open to appreciating as many different styles as possible, as inspiration can come from the unlikeliest of places.
How do you feel when wearing your outfits or kawaii things?
I feel really happy and confident. It gives me an immediate boost because I feel it's when I look my best and can truly be myself. The best feeling is when you're all dressed up for, in my case, a lolita meetup, and everyone else is also wearing kawaii things. You feel such a sense of belonging.
That is so nice to hear about being happy and being one's self,
Since being into Kawaii Culture, would you say the way you do some things like  your hair and makeup have changed over time?

Definitely. I never really used to bother much with hair styles or makeup, but I've gradually put more effort into my appearance. I prefer being this way! It's made me more passionate about fashion in general, and helped to unlock the creative side of me I'd forgotten about.
What kind of anime or manga do you like and what would you recommend to someone?
I was never really into manga or anime but I did love the Peach Girl anime! It's incredibly intense and ott to watch, and definitely gets the adrenaline pumping due to the ridiculous situations!
Oh I will check that one out , Do you like any cute Japanese music? What do you listen to?
I absolutely adore Moon Kana! She makes both heavy music, and adorable, sugary tunes that make you feel really good about yourself! She used to model for the Gothic & Lolita Bible, and I loved her quirky twist on lolita fashion, which her music really complements. And of course, I also love Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Her outfits and videos really get the imagination going as they transport you to the ultimate kawaii paradise!

Here's the hard question....Who would you pick-- Sanrio or San X ?

I would definitely pick Sanrio!
And who would you say is your most loved Kawaii Character?
I love Hello Kitty! How can you not? She's so simple but totally adorable.
I agree she is totally adorable!
Have you made or created your own Kawaii inspired stuff? (eg cosplay, outfit, deco-den ect ect .)

Yes. I actually make and sell kawaii accessories such as hair bows, collars, and jewellery! I also try to support other indie brands. I like that anyone can contribute to kawaii fashions, or kawaii-fy their lives as "kawaii" really is accessible to everyone.
Do you have a Kawaii Idol or someone that inspires you?
I am quite inspired by Tavuchi, owner of Spank! I love the aesthetic of her shop, and the idea of reselling vintage pieces which have been customised. I am also inspired by Kumamiki and admire the hard work she has put in to launch her brand, Party Baby.
Okay am a Kawaii magical Fairy  and I shall grant you 3 wishes....What would you wish for?
1. To acquire all of my dream dresses!
2. To visit Japan for some kawaii shopping!
3. Most of all, to have a successful kawaii indie brand!

Thank you so much SpiffyKidd for taking part it was so interesting getting to know you and your store.
I hope you all enjoyed the interview!!!
Stay tuned for much more coming this month!

Kawaii Interview time!

Hey every one today I have a interesting post for you all, I will be doing a few of these Kawaii Interviews with many volunteers around the world who wanted to take part! This is my way of getting others thoughts and feeling on Kawaii Culture to share with you.
Today am interviewing some one who is a lolita and Kawaii fan in the UK. Every one meet Suzanne!
So let's get on with the interview! Nyaa!

Hey there Suzanne, Thank you so much for taking part lets start with your set of Questions, I can not wait to hear your answer's . This is going to be so much fun!!

Suzanne looks so Kawaii even her pets are super cute too! Kyaa!

First off when and how did you get into Kawaii culture?

I have always loved Japan from as long as I can remember. I can remember my parents travelling there when I was just tiny about 4 or 5. I cherished the gifts they brought me back from there and I loved everything Japanese from that point on. I attended high school in Michigan, USA in the 80s and I was in love with J-Pop idols like Seiko Matsuda. I especially loved their cute fashion sense and use of adorable accessories. I travelled to Japan later in my life and I loved Harajuku street fashion especially. I knew then that I had kawaii in my soul! My first Hello Kitty item was purchased by my great-aunt (my grandfather’s sister) who got me a stationary set in like 1981!

Woaah! That so interesting, What did you find that appealed to you in Kawaii Culture?

I think mostly the colours, characters and just overall emphasis on cuteness is the draw for me. I love that is innocent, childlike and just completely adorable. When I see kawaii things I feel happy!

Can you tell me what do 'Kawaii' mean to you?

To me, kawaii is obviously cuteness but it also sort of a freedom. By freedom, I mean it is very freeing to feel like you can dress, accessorise and be as cute as you want to be! Kawaii culture seems to transcend barriers that are present in many fashions, such as age, sex, size, race, religion – kawaii is completely non-judgemental and can be adapted to suit your own personal style very easily. I believe that with kawaii anyone can be themselves and the fashion is about going outside the norm and doing it in a way that expresses your cuteness!

Do you have a fashion that you would say is Kawaii and can you tell us a bit more about it?

My fashion is probably a mix of different Lolita styles (mainly sweet, classic, princess) with a touch of Fairy Kei mixed in. I adore pastel prints and sweet themes but I also appreciate the simple designs of a classic Lolita look too.

What styles would you say influence you?

I would have to say Lolita and decoden are my favourite style types but I do love the looks of Fairy and Visual Kei styles as well. The pastel colours and cute themes on the clothing and accessories just draw me. There are designers I love as well like Anna Sui (who is also from Detroit) and she makes the amazing things! I am also influenced by Japanese Lolita brands like Angelic Pretty and Baby the Stars Shine Bright. Bodyline has many pieces that I like and it is a good place to start for staples to build your wardrobe in a cost effective way. Bodyline and Fan+Friend also offer many larger size to fit our Western body types.

How do you feel when wearing your outfits or kawaii things?

Wearing kawaii fashions and accessories make me feel happy and put me in a fun mood. I feel confident and pretty when I wear kawaii things.

HeeheeKawaii!!,
Since being into Kawaii Culture would you say the way you do some things likes of your hair and make up ,Have they changed over time?
Overall my style has not changed a great deal. I still like the same basic things (pastel colours and sweet things with a slight touch of bling). I have had some train wreck co-ords and I have looked like Lolita roadkill on occasion, but hey we all get it wrong sometimes!

Part of the beauty of the fashion is that anything goes and you have the freedom to be what you want! So it you can have fun with fashion! I think that fashion is meant to be fun and whimsical! Who wants to look like everyone else anyway? Not me!

Okay, What kind or anime or manga do you like and what would you recommend to some one?
I used to adore manga – especially those with romantic story lines but anime has to be my favourite! I remember seeing anime productions from Studio Ghibli and later Akira in the late 80s and just thought they were incredible. I don’t think there has been one anime production from Studio Ghibli that I have disliked! I would recommend any of their films to anyone who has not watched anime before. My Neighbour Totoro is the best place to start but all of the productions by this team are very unique and lovely! I would also recommend an iPhone/iPad/iPod app called Anime Lib (short for anime library). That app is amazing and has thousands of anime series titles you can watch directly from your Apple device without downloading it streams well via wifi or 3G with no annoying buffering.

Do you like any Japanese Cute Music, what do you listen too?
I like a lot of the older stuff like Seiko and Nana Kitade as they were what I grew up listening to. I also like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Koda Kumi and Perfume and many others. I quite often to listen to Kawaii Radio which is sponsored by Keep-it-Secret (who have an amazing Kawaii Club – for anyone reading this that has not joined it, you should).

Who would you pick Sanrio or San X (the 2 most well known Kawaii Characters companies in Japan.) I know its a very hard Question this...
I do love them both so that is a hard question! I guess I would have to Sanrio because I do love Hello Kitty and all of her friends!

And who would you say is your most loved Kawaii Character?
Hello Kitty and Chococat! I love them both so much!!!

Yay! for Hello Kitty.
Have you made or created your own Kawaii inspired stuff? (eg cosplay, outfit, deco-den ect ect .)
I have not really made much myself apart from the odd skirt or headbow but I commission a lot of pieces from UK businesses such as:
  • 8th Sin Creations – for lovely accessories and amazing decoden and Laura is expanding to clothing now and I was the first person she made a JSK for and she is currently making me a cosplay outfit to be shown off on FB soon and at MCM London!
  • Stocking Shock – for lovely Lolita everything! Fuchsia is an amazing seamstress/designer.
  • Amehsaurus Handmade Accessories – Ameh does cute litte custom pieces and one off designs – many of which are very kawaii!
  • Rocking Horse Designs – for cute JSKs or skirts in many character prints.
  • Facebook sales sites like Lolita Sales UK are a good places to find exact things you want at decent prices but read things carefully to avoid disappointment! I recently bought the most beautiful Angelic Pretty JSK but it is like WAY too small for me – because I did not read the post properly so read and ask questions to be sure you are getting what you want.

I have completely transformed my boring office at work to a den of kawaiiness! I am quite proud of it and it remains a work in progress! Tartan, you are featured on my door in a super kawaii outfit! I love going to work in a fun office and I am very fortunate that my boss understands my creative side! I feel happy at work and love being in there – so in a roundabout way it makes me more productive at work. Keep an eye on my FB album because I have just commissioned some pieces form 8th Sin Creations which will be added shortly!

WOW!! Your office sounds so cool!
Do you have a Kawaii Idol or some one that inspires you?
OMG! There are so many people that inspire me! Where do I begin? Many of my friends inspire me everyday! My best friend Adele is amazing and always looks gorgeous. Her co-ords always match perfectly and she pays close attention to detail. She is my inspiration to make my co-ords as perfect as I can. Adele recently won first place in the Fruits Catwalk at J-Con (2013)!

My friend Laura has amazing sense of style and is a gothic Lolita princess, not to mention she is stunningly beautiful like a model! Laura is my go to person for anything decoden! She is the queen of amazing decoden creations!!!
You, Tartan, I love your style! You are kawaii and put your personal stamp on things with some hip hop edginess. (
 OMG REALLY ME?!.)

Venusangelic is amazing for makeup and hair tutorials; I get some great ideas from her. I also love to read Intrinsically Florrie, which is a great blog written by Florrie Clarke. It is witty and cute and has loads of good ideas in it. Plus Florrie always looks amazing mixing Lolita and vintage pieces so that she resembles a Chanel model most of time. She is a very inspirational Lolita for sure!

Okay let's Play a game . Am a Kawaii Fairy...What would you wish for if you were granted 3 Kawaii wishes?I guess they would be to be instantly smaller so I could wear more fashions direct from Japan, to have enough money to afford to go to Japan twice a year for holidays and remain happy and kawaii in spirit for the rest of my life!  This has been a super fun discussion with you, as it taken me back to my kawaii beginnings! Thanks Tartan. Stay super kawaii always!!!

N'aaaw Thank's Suzanne I really am thankful for you taking part and getting to know you much more too!

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know one other Kawaii lover and Fan on my blog.
If you want to take part in the Kawaii Interview with me please do contact me by email or on facebook okay! I cant wait to hear from you all!

Kawaii Cakes and Baking.

Hello Cuties, How are you all today?
I have been so busy with on going projects, family visits and now dealing with a cold, as well miss Chibi Bean has the cold so we have been keeping cosy together under our Hello Kitty fleece blankets. So I have neglected the blog quite a bit and really not had much to post about. I have got my new camera and I have been taking some photos with it.If am feeling up to it, I will take a few more today since the lighting is much better. The past week has been so dull and rain, rain and oh yea more rain.
So while keeping busy with my project. I have been doing some Kawaii fun baking, I attempted Rainbow sponge cakes and some cute butter biscuits. Now am no chef I only bake for fun and with little Chibi Bean , who likes to help with mixing and icing. So I used some rice moulds shape cutters to make the biscuits really cute!

Hello Kitty, Bunnies and bear butter biscuits. Kyaa too cute!

My attempt to make rainbow cupcakes. which took a long time to get the cake mixture right with the right colour dyes. I know my baking in not perfect or decorated well but its still fun to make and eat them all after hehe! They all went down a treat in the house and with family.
Also these photos were taken with my new camera
I suppose this post will be rather short today , like I said am not feeling super kawaii with having a cold. There is nothing less cute that having watery eyes, coughing up ones guts and sneezing everywhere.
I hope to get some more blog posts done for you all since I have really neglected the blog. With any luck my creative Kawaii spark will twinkle back once I feel better!

Till next time stay super cute!
