What's in your Kawaii Make up bag? - Make up revolution

Hey every one today's post is about new items I have added to my Kawaii make up bag drawer. I wanted to invest in some nice natural shades, and face make up products that would be used for my new project with the Candy Kei wigs from Cutesy Kink. So I want to find and use some products that were high street accessible and at on a low budget, As it not my every day sorta make up . But some thing that is good enough to achieve a Japanese style make up look.  Yup I will have to get used to wearing different styles of make up. So I been hearing a lot about Make up Revolution and decide after hearing and reading reviews to give it a shot.

I picked up a few items. 2 items I picked were the Focus and Fix liquid concealer, what?! Every girl needs these just in the case of emergences, I also ran out of my old ones and had to replace them any ways, Nothing really much to say about these, they just do the job they need to do and can be purchased in 6 shades at the nice little price of £2 each. Not to shabby.

The other item was a palette called cover and conceal I got this by mistake *GASP!* I picked up the wrong damm shade in the shop I got the light palette when I should of got Medium for my complexion! However am super lucky my sister has very pale skin so I will be letting her have my light palette ,as it will be no used to me. Funny, she is very pale yet am very olive in skin tones. So I can not pass on my Kawaii wisdom on that product but I have ordered the correct shades  at £6 each and 2 little extra items as well. -Whoops- But I did take picturesof the light shade to share with you all!

So yeah haha my bad about getting the wrong shade huh?! Anyway moving on the other items I got were a also face products,One was a blusher and the other a contour kit, the contour kit is called I (heart) Make up,Definition  I picked is in the medium shades again, its powder of 3 colours to create that contour effect on the face with the use of highlighting /definition  or Highlight Bronzer and Blusher all in one palette. I have used a Sleek one in the past but found the highlighter to be WAY TOO shimmery, but looking at this one its not as shimmer I much as I feared it would be.Am all for glitter and shimmer but it looks odd when its OTT!

I look forward to using this item the other item I already said is a Blusher- I had my eyes on this item when I saw them on the facebook page and wanted to get my hands on one. I (Heart) Make up- Blushing Heart in Peachy. I of late have been playing about with more peach tones on my cheeks, This item has 3 shades in one that blend well. I liked the texture and colour this gave to my checks when I tested it this morning its very soft powder to the touch and silky like. I am so glad to have this cause its huge and its super kawaii in its heart shape and packaging. Extra points there! So I can see this becoming a fave of mine. And you get tons for your money at only £4.99!

Moving on to the final item, I picked a eye shadow palette, that has 18 shades to pack from - 6 are matt shades. I really liked the rusty looking shades on this . Its called 'Run Boy Run.'
I think there is a nice mix and range to pick from. They all seem well coloured shades when I did some swatches them without a primer and they are silky smooth to the touch and very pretty and seem pretty full of colour. I will try these out with some eye make up later this week and see how long staying the power is on these. But for only £6 you cant not really go wrong , for 18 shades.

The only thing I don't like, is those damm sponge appliers! I personally favour the brush tool any day! I think I can have some fun with these the only shades I really dislike is the purple-ish shade that looks more of black with bits of purple glitter. It be nice to have a rusty purple shade by hey ho to only dislike one shade, is not bad (imo.) The over sized mirror it pretty handy and when you pack this away its slim enough to say take away on a weekend trip or holiday.

Any way I hope this gave you a insight to the products and  a glimpse to the products I will be useing in my up coming products.
Till later

Kawaii Pastels fashion on the highstreet

Hello every cutie.
How are you all doing. I thought I would share some Kawaii fashion finds that you can get on the local high street brands and some online retailers too. There is still a lot of Pastel shades in the shops. I guess with it bring spring every one likes to wear pastel shades.
And then there is me shying away from them and picking more bolder shades to wear, personally I do not think I suit pastel colours. But I do like looking at them and think they look super cute too.

I spotted this cute powder pink cross over bag from Boohoo.com. And I love the shade and style of this bag and its a steal at a mere £15!

The other thing that has surfaced to the fashion world is the Wrapped skorts and skorts.
Looks like a wrapped/skirt but worn like shorts. These are not new, I used to own a pair once upon a time but what I love about them is the fact when there was no worry of the wind to catch your skirt . They are so Kawaii!  Yay! I hope they catch on again hehe.
Mind you am not very keen on the Wrap style.

The other thing that I found was cute beanie hats that still are found in the shops, no wonder it feels like spring and summer are so far away! Its not been a nice start to the year weather wise. But this spring themed daisy cosy beanie hat has caught my eye. It is so adorable looking. You can find it in River Island by the way.

A other cute bag I found was from Boohoo.com again. I find that place can be a hit or a miss but then I guess it depends on what you are buying however I saw this and thought it was super cute a Lavender shade back pack. I really like its colour and the over all style of it .

It would be pretty cool to use it as a school or collaged bag. And a nice change from the dull back ones. hehe.

To keep with the spring time pastel themes here I found this cute hair band. Which is rabbit ears with Daisy flower heads on the ears. from River island. Hehe its adorable and would make a cute hair statement and for a themed Easter picnic too.

There is so many cute things in the shops right now, its just a case of keeping a kawaii eye open.

Oh and don't forget about your chemists and make up sections in stores because they also have jumped into spring! With really nice pastel shades, colours and textures in nail polish and there is some really cute baby pinks in the blusher counters and sweet soft mints and baby blues for your eyes!
For example look at this stunning pallet by Barry M and its cute packaging too, Kyaa!

I do like seeing these pastels and spring themed items at this time of the year - it gives a bit of hope to warmer weather to come and I look forward to wearing more dresses and skirts in the year too. Have you already picked up your pastel shades in your own styles and fashions or are you looking for more bold colours and prints for spring?!

Is Kawaii hitting Topshop?

Hey Cuties,
So its not very often I will buy Glossy Magazines. I normally will pick up Hello Kitty or Peppa Pig for chibi bean or Neo Mag for myself but today I saw a offer on 3 magazines and bought them and found that one of them had a feature on Top Shop's new designer range .. my mouth fell open when I saw this stuff. I had to do a double take!
So I thought I would show you some of the stuff I found!
Some of the Range by Meadham Kirchhoff is uhum...bright and not really my style but what sprung to mind was Pastels and Kawaii with the other pieces.
Am sure you Fairy kei and pastel /White Goths, Decora , Magical girls are going to love some of this stuff!

Okay, Okay. This one I fell in love with it but am a complete sucker for pink animal print ..huhu so cute!
But here is the other stuff below that I want to show you!

As you can see its a mix of pastels and very flowing items. I really love those shoes those are just crazy! I would not wear them myself but I bet they would look adorable on a sweet lolita! There is a Baby doll style dress and even cute Skirts to be found.

There is a ton of cute pastel shade tights and very cute cherry themed socks that are utterly adorable!
The blouse is also so Kawaii and I would love to see some of the j-fashion enthusiast's online collaborating it in with their own styles! Maybe some on could send me a photo - I so would show it on the Facebook Page. I bet it would look so Kawaii.

Check out these cute hold ups! nyaa so sweet. hehe.

I have to admit the price tag is rather high for myself but then I would want to spend my money on other things hehe! (or maybe save up for that lush top...*plots*)
Since this was on the higher gloss fashion magazines I wonder how long till the others take on pastel shades and cute looks.Am rather shocked its in a ''High Street'' Shop but its rather nice to see the High street explore new trends (okay, not new to us J-Fashion lovers.) But yea..you get my drift.
I wonder if the public are ready to take on Kawaii Fashions now that it is slowly being seen more and more with J-Fashion lover's and stylish idol's daring to be different.

Do you want to see more Kawaii in ''normal/casual'' high street fashion?
Would you like to see more people dress more Kawaii? Or do you think that the style here in the UK is to mature for dressing in Kawaii styles?
I'd love to hear your views on this so comment below...

Make- up review~ Japanese or UK make- up?!

Hello there Cuties! Hope you are all well and ready for this review.
I for some time been wanting to but some Japanese make up as well as some Korean make up too,
Maybe its all in my head but I wanted to compare the brands with each other and see if it is worth it to buy the other brands from over sea or not.

So far I have only 2 lip tints form a Korean shop which I use  more a less every second day. Am a huge make-up junkie anyway and want to try over-sea make up.
I also wondered if by using over seas make up if it would improve my skills and create more Japanese styles in make up or look more doll like.

So I bought 2 eye palette's one new form Barry M ( Natural Glow.)as you all know I adore Barry M make-up and a Japanese make up palette called Kanebo Lavshuca melty hearts. This is my 1st comparision review so please be gentle on me, nya!

As you can see the item is well  displayed. It has a nice selection of colours to pick from to create a natural  glow in eye make up with a Blusher too . The pressed eye shadow takes a wee bit of rubbing to get a good amount on the applicator but the blusher was easy to use, I think its cause the shadows are in small spaces.
Here is a photo of the eye make up with my own eye-liner and mascara which I have kept the same when I used the other make up too.

I have to say I am slightly disappointed on the colours from BarryM this time as normally the colour's are great, this palette colours where far to light for my personal liking even the darker shades.
I think using a wet brush might help with these colours but I was planning to use these more for my casual days and everyday but I think I will not use it as much as I was hopping.
However!
The lightness of the colours is still very good for beginners and for making your eyes look larger but the dark colours will not be the best for making shadows.
I shall be sticking to the Trio colour pallet from now on!!

Moving on the Japanese Palette Lavshauca.
Here are some Photos of the Packaging of the product.

The Palette is cute, but its tiny! Which put me off the applicator also was a bit fiddly I picked some natural shades, this one has some lights and darks in more browns it was had to find something to match BarryM  completely. As you can see you don't get a Blusher or as many colours but you got this stunning red.

Again the Colours were very light but they seemed to have a better pigment which was good for both highlighting and shadows. The Red was a nice touch but you could easily by a red eye shadow to use.
The colours were hard to use with the given applicator - so I used my own brush for the red to line it more than blend. Maybe I was being a bit light handed with the shades.

Overall thoughts...
I do love BarryM , I really do but this product, is not for me personally,I do like the overall look and display of the item. The Japanese one was really small which was a bit annoying.
However I would say that I much prefer the Melty Hearts out of the two products for the colours pigments.
Even the price can't sway me even though Barry M was Cheaper I still am picking Mety hearts over it , the price was more thanks to shipping.
My thinking is for doing Japanese make up find a brand you like and find the basics of doing Japanese styles, like creating bigger eyes I think that the Japanese brands might be slightly  better for these sort of styles as they are trendy over there and wanted.Where over here we are not after that sort of look ( Just yet.) I think if you can master the basics of make-up and styles then any good make up will work on your benefit. This would not stop me form trying more Japanese brands and make up even Korean makes though!
(Teehee!)
