Kiss Kiss Chu

It may be cause I am wearing some lip stick to day,but  felt the need to to Blog about cute lippy.
Personally I love lots of bright red pillar box shades, but I also like to venture out and try other colours too.
-its fun trying new looks too-
I think its a bit of trail and error when it comes to lip sticks and make up,but as a nice simple rule to keep in mind if your wanting to show off the eyes then use a light/pale colour on the lips and the other way round bright lips and natural/light eyes. Some times it can be done with both or look a bit well daft (silly) like.

I like the cute doll like look with make up,so when i use that sort of make up style I will pick pale nude shade or rose like pinks with a hint of shimmer .I like to add a clear gloss over the shade to make it look fresh and sweet looking and or doll like.

Keeping warm and Kawaii~Hints and tips

Keeping Warm is a number warm thing for me as I happen to feel the cold,Even though every one has only t-shirts on,I am frozen and like to wrap up warm,May it be I wear a extra t-shirt or a few more layers.

Maybe because I am in Scotland?!...errrmm...You would think that I would be used to it since I lived here all my life.
Even today I am feeling a chill around me.

 T^T
So here are a few hints and tips with keeping warm but still Kawaii for this winter!

Hints and Kawaii Tips for the winter!

Jumpers! Big thick cosy jumpers are in the knitwear selections,
There are 2 kinds pain ones or ones with detail.

Picking the detailed ones with cute images on them are super cute and easy to wear with out thinking to much about them by wearing some nice jeans.Currently is all about skulls and crosses with fashion at this time so its proven hard to get some cute images on jumpers right now.

New Look Love heart Jumper

The other is plain but wear some printed Jeans or cute leggings to make a Kawaii outfit and keep warm at the same time .Choosing the idea of a plain jumper makes this a big easy as there is lots of prints on leggings, tights and jeans that can make the outfit cute. Most of the colours at this current season are all dark looking too but there is a small handful of lighter colours.

New Look,Sweet cute Bow Jumper

The other ways of keeping warm and Kawaii is playing about with Printed Leggings and Tights though there is not as many printed tights as much as there is overseas its work going on ebay to have a look for some,These can brighten up any outfit that is plain and warm and by there is thicker leggings out for the warmer months too.
A other idea is even though its not quite snowing over here it means you can still use the shorts that you had this summer (or Lack of Summer in Scotlands case).
By wearing some think tights to keep your legs warm!
Right know in the shops there is a range of coloured tights (again Dark colours) that are fab for wearing with shorts, and also with all this seasons colours and prints you can still pick up a new pair of shorts in October!
Footwear can be cute too and thank's to the popularity of Festivals Shops have caught on with the Wellies boots.
That's Right you can know get super cute Welly boots ones with bows, lace and prints,My own are poka dots and I make sure I have some nice thick (Kawaii )Socks to keep my feet warm too.

There is lots of cute welly boots.
^_^

My current OOTD are mostly Jeans with thick jumpers and cute accessories,or its ifs mild I wear my cute shorts tights and tops. But its hard work keeping Kawaii and warm at the same time.
Why not look into some Kawaii and Adorable Lolita Jackets and even Anime plush slippers too.
And if all else fails simply buy a kawaii fleece blanket and wrap up cosy with a few of your most loved Plushies  like Hello Kitty of course and get a nice cup or warm hot chocolate with mini marshmallows
^^
Stay super Kawaii

Kawaii Halloween ideas and sugestions

Hello My Kawaii Lovers
Halloween is drawing near,I love the fun around Halloween, but its more than just about the trick and treats to me. *nods nods*

Halloween is the time were the links to the living world and the other side are lifted and thinned out.

The idea of us dressing up as zombies ghosts and witches and other scary things was to confuse the departed  and lost souls that walked with the living on Halloween night. That they could not tell who was who, to spook and scare on this long dark creepy night.
Jack 'o lanterns made from Turnips and Pumpkins craved with faces sat out side homes to scare away evil spirits and Candles burned to guide the departed loved ones back to the other side safely.

I love the darkness of Halloween but I also find that us Kawaii Lovers like to make it very Creepy yet very cute.

Dressing up is one way to do it,You have a range of Kawaii Ideas to pick from Hello Kitty outfits to becoming a Princess from Disney though how that may confuse the walking dead beats me
@.@'

Decorations have changed a lot  you can know get some really creepy real looking ones and then the more light hearted fun and child likes ones.Pumpkin Carving also seems to become a art and contest in some places too!

Some like to go crazy and Dress up and put alot of work into there Halloween outfits, some look so real and some are so scary and others are utterly KAWAII!
Others may theme their day to day outfit a bit more spooky than normal than dress up.
As you all know I'm dressing up as a Fairy and Chibi bean is dressing up as a Witch.
^_^

Here are some cute ideas for you all!
Why not look for cute spooky t-shirts that tend to come out at this time of year.
Look at Halloween themed Jewellery that most small businesses like to bring out at this time of year.
Look at clip in colours for your hair likes of orange green and purple for some fun and check out some nice wigs too.
Dress up your house with cute looking spooky decorations.
Try making your own ones too.
Or why not be a bit more daring and Cosplay from a anime that's related to Halloween.
Your pick how you want to celebrate Halloween but most of all Have lots of fun!
I will post up photos of my outfit and decorations for you soon.
Look out for more of my Halloween Posts!
Stay super Kawaii

Its all about Kawaii!

Hi~Hi Kawaii Lovers,I hope you are all well and keeping super cute!
Myself  I have  been looking for a cute necklace with ''Kawaii '' on it while I have been x-mas shopping, and
I am soo bad for saying Kawaii out loud in places.Unless you know what it means I get lots of Funny looks in shops and the kids sections in too.
So I thought it was only fitting to get a necklace because I love ''Kawaii''.
I spoke to a few companies about a custom necklace but they were all to busy I all most gave up but House of Wonder land came to save me!
I was so happy, though it took a while to get the right fount to work with the word 'Kawaii' so it looked like 'Kawaii' rather than 'KawaII' and then asked if I could have a purple shade and left the rest up to the magical lady at the House of wonderland and OMG!

ITS STUNNING!
I also got the 'Harajuku' necklace a week before, cause I thought well if I dont get a Kawaii one I will have Harajuku,Hanging by my heart.(A place I so want to visit!)
So here is a few Photos ^^

My Harajuku Necklace

My outfit run down
Hat from Dobbie's that I revamped with felt hearts,That I sewn on.
Top from  Cute Japanese Fashion
Shorts Primark
Tights New Look
Lock Shop wig

Other outfit Run down.
Kawaii Necklace.
Unicorn top from TKmaxx
Lock shop wig.

So We are nearing the end of the month,I have been selling off some of my Lolita and my Wigs as I really do not like ones with Bangs/Fridges and Lolita is not practical for me,Even though,I do adore it all .
TT^TT
I also need the money to be put towards a new camera and for chibi bean's xmas and birthday.
I have started my shopping list and can say I have one or 2 things ticked off.
Also I have got finally pieced all y fairy Halloween outfit out!
Yay!
So I am looking forward to getting lots of photos of it all for you all to see!

Till Later

Kawaii Club -Package 2

The Kawaii Club,I love the Kawaii Club run by Keep it secret,Keep it Kawaii.
I have been very happy with my monthly dose of Kawaii Goodies.
This month I was over the moon with my package.
It came on Tuesday Morning just as I was heading out to the local shop for a stock up on Milky buttons...
(yes its how I roll!)
So I put it to one side even though I wanted to rip it open there and then!
Once I got back with my milky button supplies,I sat down to over dose in Kawaii-ness!

This months bunch of goodies was,
A bean toy key chain,Where you press the bean pod to pop out the happy face beans,Great for passing the time but also for stress release too. I attached mine to my keys,Also chibi bean thinks they are magic!

Also there is  Kawaii Tin of Rilakuma and Co,great for storing your kawaii bits and bobs,In my case...I'm using mine for  storing my eyelashes and stick on Gems
(lol...What? I think its a great way to store eyelashes that you plan to clean and reuse,That way I'm not going to lose em or my gems!)
^__^

Also taking of Weekend bags and or Holiday cases why not attach the super cute the Doremon Suit Case tag. That way you will not only be able to tell who case is who when you are at the airport or waiting on your cases but you can be super kawaii while you travel!
Last but not least is the Hello Kitty head phones (only available in Japan which my sources at keep it secret HQ have reviled.) This is a plus in my book! As you all know how much I adore Hello Kitty but also I have a Hello Kitty ipod cover...BUT! Not only that,
If you have been a member of the Kawaii Club from the start (this is the 3rd delivery of Kawaii-goodies) You would have also got the Hello Kitty Cable wind up wire clip.
So I am 100% Hello Kitty kit out with my itunes and ipod as well as adding to my Hello Kitty collection.

Also in the package before this one (the 2nd package) you would have received a Chi the Cat compact mirror.
I want to say that I do use mine all the time!
Believe it or not,I really do.
*^__^*
When I am applying my eye make up and lashes,It sits on my dressing table with all my make up and its a handy and great little cutie that no only makes me smile seeing its expression but great for applying my lashes as you ladies will all be aware they are rather tricky to get on at the best of times.

So you want to stay Super Kawaii then Team up with me and join The Kawaii Club Here.
And check out the shop while you are at it,Its where I got my Hello Kitty Glasses that I wear.
You can also keep up to date with the Keep it secret Page on Facebook.
Also in November there is going to be a Tartan Kawaii Take over on the page where yours truly will be keeping a eye out on the page and acting as your moderator while the team head out on operation: 'Bring back Kawaii' for us all!

So Stay super Kawaii

I got those Pretty Lashes I was eyeing up from Bourjois to go with my fairy outfit and my wings also came in the end so here are some sneaky photos of the idea I am aiming for with my outfit.

They are so so light to wear and so pretty too!
I love the effect they give off.
Also Do you all like my cute Wings,They are not as as big as I hoped but they are still so cute!
Also you may have noticed my newest wig is been worn a lot,I am getting used to the colour and its such a fun wig to wear and it looks so real!
The Lock shop are doing a contest for a model for them I'm thinking about taking part,I do not see me winning it but it maybe be a bit of fun,However I am hoping that its not going to be one of those Like face book contests,I really don't have that many friends or followers to get that many votes. There is also a Doll delight face book contest you could win a dress made by Doll delight, I have entered.
Its one that shows off your style, again I don't see myself winning but to be in the top Ten would be nice.

This month I was back in Neo Magazine.Yay!Yes that was me in the ''Keep it Secret'' Advert for the Kawaii club!It was Fun doing these photos with all my Kawaii goodies around me and trying not to eat the pocky sticks!

I love anime art,I love ones that are full of detail and have admired Minty Kitty Art for a while .

But Lets check some of the Art out 1st!

(all Images belong to MintyKittyArt!)

Aww Sky Kittys Kawaii!

Cute and spooky

Super Sweet!

Awww I love the kitties!

Panda LOVE!

Tartan Kawaii Meets Minty Kitty Art

Hi there Minty Kitty Could you tell me a little about when you started doing your art?

I have been drawing since I was very young, mostly copying old Japanese wood block prints in pen and ink, my father taught me how to paint!I have only seriously been drawing though for the last three years, I have just completed a degree in Illustration and can now focus 100% on what I love!

Wow Cool ,I love your style What would you say inspires you?

My inspiration is fashion and cute things! I see everything as cute, from Kitties to slugs!

I have always been interested in Asian culture since I was very small, my earliest memories are watching old Godzilla and Kurosawa Movies with my father and listening to 80's Japanese Hair Metal band Vow Wow!

This naturally progressed to Anime and Manga.

What you would like to achieve with your art and what else you like to do with it ^^

My dream is to design cute stationary!
It doesn't sound super ambitious, I know, but I have always loved collecting adorable writing paper, pens and pencil cases and would love to make my own!

I hope that I can give a little cute to everyone who sees my work and make them smile!

^__^

I really love this style of Art,Its utterly Kawaii and adorable!
If you want to support Minty Kitty Art you can by liking  on Facebook and checking out the information on commissions as the prices are not expensive at all.

(As I also would love to visit Japan from a young age).
She is an inspiration of mine and I  thinks she is SUPER KAWAII!

*^V^*

And she is achieving so much,She is creating a Kawaii movement with her projects, Blog, DIY-Kawaii and with the help of her fans Who lover her dearly.

@__@

all images belong to rainbowholic

Hi there Kaila chan I'm very excited to have you be in my Blog interview,
I am a bit of a fan of yours and your blog!
so I am feeling a bit star stuck
*@__@*

Can you tell us when you started to reach your dreams and why?

I started to make a move when I finally took Japanese language lessons every Saturday during my sophomore year in college. I was just starting with my major subjects back then so it was really stressful for me but thankfully, I still managed to learn the basics of Nihongo. My older brother who has been living in Japan for almost 8 or 9 years would be biggest influencer in making me so decided that I should pursue my "Japanese dream". My family and I all witnessed how my brother established himself in a country so foreign and so out-of-reach for a struggling family like us.

He really inspired me a lot that is why even though I had to finish four years of university first (got my first Japanse visa rejected along the way), I really went 1000% in reaching this dream. I tried applying for scholarships, etc. but I failed all of those huhuhu.
We both come from a big family that had a lot of drama (my dad was fired from his job, my mom had illness, one of my brothers got severely depressed) and I learned and matured a lot from that.. and I guess you can tell that my darkest days as a child / teenage really shaped me to be this optimistic / "gambatteru hito" (always doing her best) person.
 I'm a tough girl!

^__^
(We are glad you are a tough girl with a kawaii heart  it makes you, well you <3 )

What inspired you to make a Blog to share your adventures?

Actually, I started Rainbowholic around a year or so before I went to Japan. I used to own another personal website (which I started when I was 14? 15?) then moved to Rainbowholic afterwards. When I was in college, I tried my best updating it regularly but my course (Advertising Management) really took all of my time.... so I thought I should just wait for the day when I could finally see Japan in my own eyes. After that, I had a lot of good experiences and funny discoveries here in the land of the rising sun and I couldn't stop sharing about those! I got a lot of positive feedback and those really encouraged me to bring Japan closer to my readers and make them feel that they are also with me with my photo-heavy posts.

What do you love the most about living in Japan and how would you describe it?

There are so many good things about living in Japan but what I love most about Japan would be-- safety.
If ever you accidentally leave your bag/wallet in a train or somewhere else,Japanese people in general would not even bother to take it home.. instead, they would return it to the train staff. Also, walking alone in the middle of the night is not a scary thing to do... if it were another place, you can encounter robbers, snatchers or even rapists..? "
@_@

What would you recommend to any one to go see if they went to Japan?

Of course, I would recommend them to visit HARAJUKU!! It's the most interesting place in Tokyo because you can experience traditional Japan by visiting the Meiji shrine and witness the latest fashion trends in Takeshita Dori.

(*Takes notes*)

What the most Fun DIY-Kawaii thing you have made and what was the most challenging ?

The most fun DIY-Kawaii / Kawaii DIY would be the Rainbowholic Kuruma-chan (Kuruma=car)!
It's craaaazy!

image belongs to Rainbowholic

(Here is a photo! I love this Car @_@)

I love your Kawaii wheels that you used as a project can you tell us more about it?

About the kawaii wheels / Rainbowholic Kuruma-chan, it's actually a big group effort between my brother + our friends and me.
Since I've been doing an all-out promotion for Rainbowholic, we figured we should do something people have not witnessed before.
My brother and his wife even went back to Philippines to purchase the cheaper reflector stickers / decals because having our own design / itasha made would cost us 500% more or something like that. For less than a week, we worked on the car every single night until sunrise (since it was so HOT during summer afternoons)… and after we finished it, we had a Rainbowholic Ruckus parade in Harajuku~!

Link: See HERE!

I heard your hoping to adopt a puppy has that progressed any further?

Actually, I was very disappointed because the small dog that I wanted wasn't available any more when I applied. :"( I'd still consider adopting a puppy in the future but it would still require monetary means and currently.. I'm broke (spent it on a Hongkong trip >_<). But yeah, I still dream of owning a chocolate toy poodle!!

(KAWAII!!!!!)

Aww I hope you get your Dream puppy soon!
What's the sweetest thing a Fan has done for you and the oddest?

All of my readers are sweet but the sweetest thing that one did would be sending me a package full of letters how I had inspired her + handmade goodies and souvenirs from places she went.
It was very touching that I weeped! Haha~

As for the oddest, I don't think I have received any odd gift yet.. :P

(Aww how sweet ^__^)

Who would you say your fashion inspiration comes from?

My fashion inspiration comes from many Japanese-related influences
(such as the kawaii character + oldskool anime culture).. also, whenever I browse through Japanese magazines such as Kera or Popteen, I also get inspiration from those.
My fashion style is very moody so for me, it's a bit hard to tell where I really get inspired from.

What up coming projects can you share with us?

The new Rainbowholic website that I've been preparing for a month! Watch out for that since I'll be doing the coding on my own :D

(Is excited to see this,Maybe you could revamp my Blog..hehe)

Is there any other places in the world you would like to visit?

I would love to visit Paris, Seoul, Bangkok… and the list goes on! I plan to travel around the world someday =)

What your animes and mangas at the moment?

I started ONE PIECE a few months ago but I had to pause it for a while because.. it's bad for productivity hahaha.
I used to read manga's but now, I love watching Korean dramas and movie's more (yep!).

What fashion trends do you predict that may reach over my way?(UK USA EURO)

I think that tattoo tights would be the next big trend there (haven't seen many Western look book-ers wearing those tights).
(You know I think we will be seeing those tights very soon too!)

Where do you see your self in the next few years?

In the next few years, Rainbowholic may become an actual brand / shop here in Tokyo. Seems impossible but every dream is an insane one anyway. Hehe~

And what other Dreams would you like to reach for ?

I would love to become a creative entrepreneur or a boss of my own in the future.
My ultimate dream is to go home / travel every now and then without worrying for my air plane fare.

Thank you so much for giving us some of your Kawaii time Kaila-Chan,
I am really looking forward to all your new adventures!

You can all keep up with Kaila aka Rainbowholic giving her some Twitter Love and catch up on Rainbowholic Facebook.

Stay super Kawaii

Fluttering Lashies

So a week or so I entered a Twitter contest with Bourjois UK.

I never have much hope in myself when it comes to these things but  was 100% shocked when I got a DM (direct message) from them!
Yes.

0___o
I won a prize!
I won the fake lashes I asked for to go with my new rock out hair cut and the new Bourjois fancy Tweezers for applying lashes they have.
My prize came super fast and I got the Rock chic ones.
I Really like the style of them and there is a few styles,I already have my heart set on the lace ones!

These are what they look like so pretty!

The smoky eyes are pretty but I may get the lace ones for my Fairy outfit  for halloween!
I love my rock chic ones (sorry don't have a photo will get ones for you soon!)
Easy to use and easy to tailor to size and light to wear.

The Tweezers is also really smart.
I use a lot of lashes with my outfits to this will come in handy a lot!
I have used it lots of times on other lashes too,They are fab for holding the lashes and adding the glue as well as for even just picking them out the packet,Many a times I have lost lashes from getting them out the packet.

TT__TT

So the Grabby end is from holding the lashes and its angled to make it easy to take them up to the eyelids, the other end is like a angled tip to help stick the lashes into place where they refuse to stay put.
Id give this a 10 out of 10.
Fab idea!
Makes life that bit more easy and I no longer dread putting on lashes!
You can find Bourjois online in your local Boots and Superdrug.

^__^

I cant wait to get the other lashes!
Rock on Bourjois ,I LOVE your products, swear by them!

Whats you most loved High street make up brand?
I would love it if you shared.
Im a huge Bourjois Fan and a bit of a Barry M fan too.

With these lashes you have the cutest Eyes ever!

Tartan Neko Maid

So I got my new wig last week...
I felt rather brave getting a Bright Blonde wig.
I never ever had blonde in my hair even as bright a blonde as this one.The wig I got was form the Lock Shop,Can not recommend this Store enough,More so know sadly Dreamy Stores has shut down.

So I will be so I will be most likely shopping at the Lock shop as I get most of my wigs there anyway.
It was interesting trying to pick a outfit to go with my new wig as I had to tone down on harsh colours of make up which is something I'm not used too,I also teamed it up with my new Kitty Ears with pearls on them and with my new Plushie Called Happy Kitty and transformed myself into a Neko (Cat) Maid.
I wore a off-brand Black and white JSK with a blouse and my hand made maid apron that I use a lot hence why there is a few marks on it from all my cooking and baking,That I do!
^ ^'

Happy Kitty is so cute and soft. Can you see the pin badge too?
Nyan Nyan Nyan!
Review of wig from Lock Shop,
The wig is lovely and soft to touch,The fibres are silky and smooth,The wigs are so easy to look after too!
The service is great no hassles and the postage is good too.
The Store owner seeks out only the best for the quality of the wigs and you in safe hands with the Lock shop. You also get a complementary Wig cap with your order.
The Blonde colour is like a light bleach platinum blonde that fades into a powder pink.
The Wigs are light to wear and pass for real natural hair.
You can also cut in Bangs/Fringes or thin it out to a side swept look which I did.
I love this fun cute wig!
