Kawaii Photography

Hey every cutie, how are you all?
Well ,by know you would have noticed that I've added a new section on my blog of photography. Or if you have not look at the tabs at the top of my blog.
So this year is my year of a new adventure and project, I cant tell you to much about it..well cause I have not really done much with the project so far. Why?
Because I have not been to any conventions yet!  To be fair this years 1st convention will not be till the end of March in which I will be working on my other project too. However it gives me a great opportunity to get a taste on my photography project , which will be taking as many Kawaii photos as possible.
This year I enrolled in a few work shops in my local area and already have one under my belt and even with the basic knowledge applied to my photos of late they have improved vastly.  Am also lucky to have 2 willing models one being my cat and of course Chibi bean. There will be a vast change in my photos for the blog as am using it as practice and am very lucky to live in a area that is some what very pretty and lots of wild birds can be found some which are a bit shy... or you can find some who love to pose .Kawaii!

Last month I got my new Camera , I shall be working with a easy entry level DSLR Nikon 3200. Its a nice camera. I have lots to learn and have lots of time to prepare for conventions and any photo shoots I will be attending. Am super excited  and I can not wait ...Kyaaaah really can not wait for this year to get ready to roll !As well as getting my camera I will be building on my kit am only working with the bog standard lens for now.

So I will be at lots of convention's  mostly in scotland. I will be darting about for snapping away photos, I will be looking for Cosplayer's Fashion lover's and those who just look really Kawaii and cool looking as well as Kawaii products and Cute stalls so if you do recognise me please give me a shout ''Hey Tartan.'' gets my attention.  Also I have started up a Photography page '' Tartan Le Cuirot Photography,''on Facebook to act as a mini portfolio and that way you can all have a look and tag yourself! Yay!

This weekend is my 1st weekend out and about with my Camera in the city, Am hoping to take lots of photos around the city and looking for kawaii things to photograph. Also there is alot of interesting things in the city to look for. I wanted to mix my 2 passions of Kawaii and taking photos together and with my creative flare I hope I will make some great images. So I am going to be really busy!
Until then , here is my all time favourite photo I have taken with my old camera, Of the little blue Totoro gazing out the window for some adventure....

Kawaii Interview time with Spiffykidd

Hey every cutie!
By know you are will have read a couple of interviews and I hope you are all enjoying them. This time I have the owner from Suger Trampoline. A Kawaii Esty Store found here and here As I said we will be interviewing the owner Spiffykidd today. So lets get to it!

First off, when and how did you get into Kawaii culture?
I first discovered kawaii culture when I was about fourteen or fifteen. I saw pictures of people at Harajuku station on various social networking sites such as Bebo (haha, I know!), and pictures of people trying to emulate the different styles, and I was immediately hooked!
Ahh I see! What did you find that appealed to you in Kawaii Culture?
I loved all the different colours and interesting styles. It was refreshing to me that the idea was to be cute rather than "sexy", as with mainstream fashion, which I never really felt comfortable in. The meetup aspect drew me in, too. I didn't used to have much of a social life, but through the shared interest of kawaii fashion I've managed to meet so many amazing people.

Please tell us ,what does Kawaii mean to you?

For me, kawaii means that you can be cute, edgy, and individual! There are no limitations to what you can do, and you can be as creative as possible.
Do you have a fashion that you would say is Kawaii and can you tell us a bit more about it?
I dress in sweet lolita a lot of the time. It's basically a style where you dress in pretty, fancy dresses, puffed out with petticoats, and finished off with accessories. I love it!

Kawaii!! What styles would you say influence you?

I take inspiration from all the different lolita styles, and I also really love fairy kei/Spank! style, and cult party kei. I try to be open to appreciating as many different styles as possible, as inspiration can come from the unlikeliest of places.
How do you feel when wearing your outfits or kawaii things?
I feel really happy and confident. It gives me an immediate boost because I feel it's when I look my best and can truly be myself. The best feeling is when you're all dressed up for, in my case, a lolita meetup, and everyone else is also wearing kawaii things. You feel such a sense of belonging.
That is so nice to hear about being happy and being one's self,
Since being into Kawaii Culture, would you say the way you do some things like  your hair and makeup have changed over time?

Definitely. I never really used to bother much with hair styles or makeup, but I've gradually put more effort into my appearance. I prefer being this way! It's made me more passionate about fashion in general, and helped to unlock the creative side of me I'd forgotten about.
What kind of anime or manga do you like and what would you recommend to someone?
I was never really into manga or anime but I did love the Peach Girl anime! It's incredibly intense and ott to watch, and definitely gets the adrenaline pumping due to the ridiculous situations!
Oh I will check that one out , Do you like any cute Japanese music? What do you listen to?
I absolutely adore Moon Kana! She makes both heavy music, and adorable, sugary tunes that make you feel really good about yourself! She used to model for the Gothic & Lolita Bible, and I loved her quirky twist on lolita fashion, which her music really complements. And of course, I also love Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. Her outfits and videos really get the imagination going as they transport you to the ultimate kawaii paradise!

Here's the hard question....Who would you pick-- Sanrio or San X ?

I would definitely pick Sanrio!
And who would you say is your most loved Kawaii Character?
I love Hello Kitty! How can you not? She's so simple but totally adorable.
I agree she is totally adorable!
Have you made or created your own Kawaii inspired stuff? (eg cosplay, outfit, deco-den ect ect .)

Yes. I actually make and sell kawaii accessories such as hair bows, collars, and jewellery! I also try to support other indie brands. I like that anyone can contribute to kawaii fashions, or kawaii-fy their lives as "kawaii" really is accessible to everyone.
Do you have a Kawaii Idol or someone that inspires you?
I am quite inspired by Tavuchi, owner of Spank! I love the aesthetic of her shop, and the idea of reselling vintage pieces which have been customised. I am also inspired by Kumamiki and admire the hard work she has put in to launch her brand, Party Baby.
Okay am a Kawaii magical Fairy  and I shall grant you 3 wishes....What would you wish for?
1. To acquire all of my dream dresses!
2. To visit Japan for some kawaii shopping!
3. Most of all, to have a successful kawaii indie brand!

Thank you so much SpiffyKidd for taking part it was so interesting getting to know you and your store.
I hope you all enjoyed the interview!!!
Stay tuned for much more coming this month!

Kawaii Interview with Elegant Poupée

Hey every one- I hope you are all looking forward to my Kawaii Interviews with kind hearted Kawaii souls around the world who have wanted to take part !
Today we have the very elegant Lolita Sapphira , A British Lolita who is know living in Japan!Got to say I do like reading up on her blog, and I like her elegant Lolita style , She is so Kawaii!
so when I got a  message from her wanting to take part and that she reads my blog *waves* I was a bit blown away. So here we go lets get on with the interview then!
Hello Sapphira and thank you for taking part in my Kawaii series of interviews!
Lets get started!
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Sapphira, I am from West Sussex in the UK and I now live in
Tokyo, Japan. I'm a classical lolita and my favourite brands are
Innocent World and Jane Marple.

(copyright Elegant Poupée.) Sapphira looks so Kawaii!
First off when and how did you get into Kawaii culture? The band MALICE MIZER was the starting point for me. I discovered them when I was in sixth form (high school) and from that I began to learn more about Japanese bands, fashion, anime, art etc. I also decided that I wanted to live in Japan someday! What did you find that appealed to you in Kawaii Culture? Ever since I can remember I was always interested in old fashioned and romantic things. As a child my favourite books were Anne of Green Gables, Little Women and The Secret Garden, and I still love them and read them to this day.The thing I like best about kawaii culture is the celebration of innocence and sweetness that we don't have a chance to see or enjoy much these days in the West. What do Kawaii mean to you personally ? To me, it's about expressing the best part of yourself. As we already know, you are a very elegant Lolita, Which I would say its a Kawaii fashion in many ways, In what way would you say its Kawaii to you? The kawaii point of classical lolita is it's subtlety and gentleness. It doesn't stand out as much as it's sister styles like gothic lolita or sweet lolita, but it has a quiet cuteness. How do you feel when wearing your outfits or kawaii things? Happy! Since being into lolita would you say the way you do some things likes of your hair and make up ,Have they changed over time? The biggest change was my fringe (bangs). I had one when I was small and grew it out before starting secondary school. When I started to like Japanese fashion I noticed that most girls have fringes and I really liked how it looked, so I cut one for myself. These days I still love fringes and I'm still carefully cultivating mine! What would you say is your most ''must have'' make up item and why? For me it's blusher/cheek. Pink cheeks look so cute and doll-like! When I do my makeup I always leave the cheeks until last, I feel like it's the finishing touch that really makes a difference. How are you enjoying life in Japan? It's wonderful! Every day I feel so lucky and glad to be living here. What have been your highlights while being in Japan?
The best parts have been attending the Innocent World 15th Anniversary Fashion Party, being featured in the KERA snap and also a GLB snap, and doing a one day shop staff at Fushigi no Mori no Youhinten (Fairy wish shop). These are all dreams come true! How much would you say does the UK differ when it comes to cute/Kawaii in Japan.? In Japan, kawaii is part of every day life. All sorts of things come in cute packages, from eye drops to battery chargers. Each ward/prefecture has it's own kawaii mascot, and clothing generally has a more cute look, even casual, everyday clothing. In the UK, cuteness basically just associated with children and old ladies, whereas in Japan it's for everyone. Here is a question for you would you say Japan is more accepting about Kawaii things than the UK.? Yes, I think so. Kawaii is a Japanese concept and we don't have the same way of thinking in the UK. Having said that I still received mostly positive reactions to my way of dressing from people in the UK, even if they had no idea what sort of style it was, and I have had some bad reactions from some Japanese people when I said I liked lolita fashion... so of course it varies from person to person. Generally speaking though, if you don't go to an extreme like lolita, I would say Japan is more accepting of kawaii things. If you could recommend a Kawaii place or venue to see in Japan what you suggest? I would definitely recommend Disney Sea. The buildings are really beautiful and you truly feel like you're in another world. Although you might think that as this is Disney you won't be getting a very Japanese experience, actually there is only one Disney Sea so it is unique to Japan. There are two special characters for Disney Sea, Duffy and Shellie May who are very cute teddy bears. You can only get their merchandise there! Also, Disney merchandise in Japan is specially made for that market and includes a lot of items aimed at adults like homeware, accessories, clothing etc that is so much cuter than what you can get in other countries. Woah it sounds so wonderful!*takes notes* What kind or anime or manga do you like and what would you recommend to some one? I like anime with beautiful visuals and an interesting story, especially with a historical angle. Versailles no Bara, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Gankutsuou, and Mononoke are some of my favourite series. If you haven't seen it already, I would recommend Versailles no Bara because it's a classic, and even though it blends fact and fiction it brings history to life in a very vivid way. Do you like any Japanese Cute Music what do you listen too that readers might like to check out? I like Kokusyoku Sumire! I think they are cute and very talented, not only with their music but also their image. Their sound is quite unusual so at first I found it a bit strange, but after a few listens I really got into it. Here a tough question for you...Who would you pick Sanrio or San X San X. I especially like Kutusita Nyanko, and generally the colours San X use are a bit more subtle and gentle than Sanrio's so it appeals to my classical taste. YAY I love Kutusita Nyanko too!
But who would you say is your most loved Kawaii Character ? I love Regent-kun (Kapibara-san's friend). He dyes his fur purple to stand out from the other capybaras and makes motorcycle sounds as he walks along. I really like his rebel spirit and his sense of style. I live near a motorcycle shop so I think about him every time I pass there! I also love Duffy (Disney Sea mascot), he's the cutest teddy bear ever! Kyaa those charaters sound so cute!! Have you made or created your own Kawaii inspired stuff and can you tell us more about it? (eg cosplay, corrd's outfit, deco-den ect ect .) I like to make hair accessories and customise hats. In the future I want to start making dolls and also to make more clothes. Wow, I look forward to seeing those..Do you have a Kawaii Idol or some one that inspires you? I admire Sachi from Kokusyoku Sumire very much. Looking at her pictures inspired me to become a lolita, and I still think she the most perfect person to wear the style. And finally ,If I was a Kawaii Fairy and could gran you 3 wishes what would you wish for ! My first wish would be that my fringe would always be perfect, even in a wind storm. My second wish would be for magic eyelash glue that doesn't come unstuck until you want it to, and then would simply fall off when you blink. My third wish would be for super flexible arms so I could do various kawaii hairstyles more easily! Thank you very much for interviewing me, I really enjoyed answering these questions and they made me think of some things I hadn't considered before about the nature of kawaii and classical lolita. Thank you so much for taking part  Sapphira!
If you loved my Kawaii Interview with Sapphira then you can catch up with her and her Kawaii adventures on Facebook and her Blog! If you want to take part in a Kawaii Interview with me and be featured on my blog give me a shout on Tartan Kawaii's Facebook.

Kawaii Interview time!

Hey every one today I have a interesting post for you all, I will be doing a few of these Kawaii Interviews with many volunteers around the world who wanted to take part! This is my way of getting others thoughts and feeling on Kawaii Culture to share with you.
Today am interviewing some one who is a lolita and Kawaii fan in the UK. Every one meet Suzanne!
So let's get on with the interview! Nyaa!

Hey there Suzanne, Thank you so much for taking part lets start with your set of Questions, I can not wait to hear your answer's . This is going to be so much fun!!

Suzanne looks so Kawaii even her pets are super cute too! Kyaa!

First off when and how did you get into Kawaii culture?

I have always loved Japan from as long as I can remember. I can remember my parents travelling there when I was just tiny about 4 or 5. I cherished the gifts they brought me back from there and I loved everything Japanese from that point on. I attended high school in Michigan, USA in the 80s and I was in love with J-Pop idols like Seiko Matsuda. I especially loved their cute fashion sense and use of adorable accessories. I travelled to Japan later in my life and I loved Harajuku street fashion especially. I knew then that I had kawaii in my soul! My first Hello Kitty item was purchased by my great-aunt (my grandfather’s sister) who got me a stationary set in like 1981!

Woaah! That so interesting, What did you find that appealed to you in Kawaii Culture?

I think mostly the colours, characters and just overall emphasis on cuteness is the draw for me. I love that is innocent, childlike and just completely adorable. When I see kawaii things I feel happy!

Can you tell me what do 'Kawaii' mean to you?

To me, kawaii is obviously cuteness but it also sort of a freedom. By freedom, I mean it is very freeing to feel like you can dress, accessorise and be as cute as you want to be! Kawaii culture seems to transcend barriers that are present in many fashions, such as age, sex, size, race, religion – kawaii is completely non-judgemental and can be adapted to suit your own personal style very easily. I believe that with kawaii anyone can be themselves and the fashion is about going outside the norm and doing it in a way that expresses your cuteness!

Do you have a fashion that you would say is Kawaii and can you tell us a bit more about it?

My fashion is probably a mix of different Lolita styles (mainly sweet, classic, princess) with a touch of Fairy Kei mixed in. I adore pastel prints and sweet themes but I also appreciate the simple designs of a classic Lolita look too.

What styles would you say influence you?

I would have to say Lolita and decoden are my favourite style types but I do love the looks of Fairy and Visual Kei styles as well. The pastel colours and cute themes on the clothing and accessories just draw me. There are designers I love as well like Anna Sui (who is also from Detroit) and she makes the amazing things! I am also influenced by Japanese Lolita brands like Angelic Pretty and Baby the Stars Shine Bright. Bodyline has many pieces that I like and it is a good place to start for staples to build your wardrobe in a cost effective way. Bodyline and Fan+Friend also offer many larger size to fit our Western body types.

How do you feel when wearing your outfits or kawaii things?

Wearing kawaii fashions and accessories make me feel happy and put me in a fun mood. I feel confident and pretty when I wear kawaii things.

HeeheeKawaii!!,
Since being into Kawaii Culture would you say the way you do some things likes of your hair and make up ,Have they changed over time?
Overall my style has not changed a great deal. I still like the same basic things (pastel colours and sweet things with a slight touch of bling). I have had some train wreck co-ords and I have looked like Lolita roadkill on occasion, but hey we all get it wrong sometimes!

Part of the beauty of the fashion is that anything goes and you have the freedom to be what you want! So it you can have fun with fashion! I think that fashion is meant to be fun and whimsical! Who wants to look like everyone else anyway? Not me!

Okay, What kind or anime or manga do you like and what would you recommend to some one?
I used to adore manga – especially those with romantic story lines but anime has to be my favourite! I remember seeing anime productions from Studio Ghibli and later Akira in the late 80s and just thought they were incredible. I don’t think there has been one anime production from Studio Ghibli that I have disliked! I would recommend any of their films to anyone who has not watched anime before. My Neighbour Totoro is the best place to start but all of the productions by this team are very unique and lovely! I would also recommend an iPhone/iPad/iPod app called Anime Lib (short for anime library). That app is amazing and has thousands of anime series titles you can watch directly from your Apple device without downloading it streams well via wifi or 3G with no annoying buffering.

Do you like any Japanese Cute Music, what do you listen too?
I like a lot of the older stuff like Seiko and Nana Kitade as they were what I grew up listening to. I also like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Koda Kumi and Perfume and many others. I quite often to listen to Kawaii Radio which is sponsored by Keep-it-Secret (who have an amazing Kawaii Club – for anyone reading this that has not joined it, you should).

Who would you pick Sanrio or San X (the 2 most well known Kawaii Characters companies in Japan.) I know its a very hard Question this...
I do love them both so that is a hard question! I guess I would have to Sanrio because I do love Hello Kitty and all of her friends!

And who would you say is your most loved Kawaii Character?
Hello Kitty and Chococat! I love them both so much!!!

Yay! for Hello Kitty.
Have you made or created your own Kawaii inspired stuff? (eg cosplay, outfit, deco-den ect ect .)
I have not really made much myself apart from the odd skirt or headbow but I commission a lot of pieces from UK businesses such as:
  • 8th Sin Creations – for lovely accessories and amazing decoden and Laura is expanding to clothing now and I was the first person she made a JSK for and she is currently making me a cosplay outfit to be shown off on FB soon and at MCM London!
  • Stocking Shock – for lovely Lolita everything! Fuchsia is an amazing seamstress/designer.
  • Amehsaurus Handmade Accessories – Ameh does cute litte custom pieces and one off designs – many of which are very kawaii!
  • Rocking Horse Designs – for cute JSKs or skirts in many character prints.
  • Facebook sales sites like Lolita Sales UK are a good places to find exact things you want at decent prices but read things carefully to avoid disappointment! I recently bought the most beautiful Angelic Pretty JSK but it is like WAY too small for me – because I did not read the post properly so read and ask questions to be sure you are getting what you want.

I have completely transformed my boring office at work to a den of kawaiiness! I am quite proud of it and it remains a work in progress! Tartan, you are featured on my door in a super kawaii outfit! I love going to work in a fun office and I am very fortunate that my boss understands my creative side! I feel happy at work and love being in there – so in a roundabout way it makes me more productive at work. Keep an eye on my FB album because I have just commissioned some pieces form 8th Sin Creations which will be added shortly!

WOW!! Your office sounds so cool!
Do you have a Kawaii Idol or some one that inspires you?
OMG! There are so many people that inspire me! Where do I begin? Many of my friends inspire me everyday! My best friend Adele is amazing and always looks gorgeous. Her co-ords always match perfectly and she pays close attention to detail. She is my inspiration to make my co-ords as perfect as I can. Adele recently won first place in the Fruits Catwalk at J-Con (2013)!

My friend Laura has amazing sense of style and is a gothic Lolita princess, not to mention she is stunningly beautiful like a model! Laura is my go to person for anything decoden! She is the queen of amazing decoden creations!!!
You, Tartan, I love your style! You are kawaii and put your personal stamp on things with some hip hop edginess. (
 OMG REALLY ME?!.)

Venusangelic is amazing for makeup and hair tutorials; I get some great ideas from her. I also love to read Intrinsically Florrie, which is a great blog written by Florrie Clarke. It is witty and cute and has loads of good ideas in it. Plus Florrie always looks amazing mixing Lolita and vintage pieces so that she resembles a Chanel model most of time. She is a very inspirational Lolita for sure!

Okay let's Play a game . Am a Kawaii Fairy...What would you wish for if you were granted 3 Kawaii wishes?I guess they would be to be instantly smaller so I could wear more fashions direct from Japan, to have enough money to afford to go to Japan twice a year for holidays and remain happy and kawaii in spirit for the rest of my life!  This has been a super fun discussion with you, as it taken me back to my kawaii beginnings! Thanks Tartan. Stay super kawaii always!!!

N'aaaw Thank's Suzanne I really am thankful for you taking part and getting to know you much more too!

I hope you all enjoyed getting to know one other Kawaii lover and Fan on my blog.
If you want to take part in the Kawaii Interview with me please do contact me by email or on facebook okay! I cant wait to hear from you all!

Oh so Kawaii Make Up !

Hello Cuties- How are you all.Am still suffering the effects of being ill with this annoying cold!! *urgh*  Its not Kawaii sneezing every where and feeling all yucky! But I do have a post to share which I hope will combat the feeling of being unwell. So here is my post for you all to enjoy *huhuh*

''KAWAII MAKEUP POWER!''

Well okay I might have not transformer into Kawaii Sailor Moon it it was well worth hold my new Kitty shaped compact to at least try....
What girl can not live with out a bit of make-up, I adore make up and what do I adore more is yup, Kawaii themed make-up, well I had to go get me some.
The brand I picked was a Korean brand called ''Tony Moly ''.
And it was the ''Cats Wink'' products that I fell in love with.

As you can clearly see that the Cat Winks is all Cat Themed and with that packaging it drew me right in to buying, its cute, cat themed and Kawaii the perfect formula for my bank account to suffer and my hubby to have less more of a reason to venture to my side of the bed room.

What I find really interesting about Asain make up is they seem to be ahead of the game in Make-up. They had the BB creams 1st and know they have CC creams am not sure what CC creams are yet but am away to look into this . Maybe some one can enlighten me...

I got myself a new lip gloss mascara and compact powder from the Cat Winks range. I adore the fact there is Kitty faces everywhere. As well I got a cute Panda themed item too. I will be using the mascara and the lip gloss once I used my old ones up. Am a bit gutted as I wanted to get the Cat wink Lip tints but they seem to be hard to get hold of.

The compact came in 2 shades I picked the Clear beige Shade which the compact has a mirror inside and a small powder sponge puffer. Also the powder even has a paw imprint design inside - Kyaaa cute!

The Panda Dream is a cute designed stick in as a panda holding a bamboo stick its for dark circles around the eyes- I think the marketing was rather clever with them picking a panda who has dark fur around their eyes hehe. Its a stick with a cream that you apply around the eye area helping reduce the ''Panda eyes'' and brighten that area.I have not used it yet as with being unwell am not really in the mood to wear makeup.

I really love ..Love! How cute these are and it makes make up even more fun and super Kawaii looking.
I would love to find more Asian brands to try and look for more Kawaii looking packaging ones, I have to say that the Asian ones are much nicer looking than the chemist/ high street brands here in the UK. Its rather easy to buy these overseas and sometimes you can find online stores that offer free shipping too.
Do you like  these Kawaii styled make up items?
Would you buy them?

Till next time
Stay Cute

Kawaii Cakes and Baking.

Hello Cuties, How are you all today?
I have been so busy with on going projects, family visits and now dealing with a cold, as well miss Chibi Bean has the cold so we have been keeping cosy together under our Hello Kitty fleece blankets. So I have neglected the blog quite a bit and really not had much to post about. I have got my new camera and I have been taking some photos with it.If am feeling up to it, I will take a few more today since the lighting is much better. The past week has been so dull and rain, rain and oh yea more rain.
So while keeping busy with my project. I have been doing some Kawaii fun baking, I attempted Rainbow sponge cakes and some cute butter biscuits. Now am no chef I only bake for fun and with little Chibi Bean , who likes to help with mixing and icing. So I used some rice moulds shape cutters to make the biscuits really cute!

Hello Kitty, Bunnies and bear butter biscuits. Kyaa too cute!

My attempt to make rainbow cupcakes. which took a long time to get the cake mixture right with the right colour dyes. I know my baking in not perfect or decorated well but its still fun to make and eat them all after hehe! They all went down a treat in the house and with family.
Also these photos were taken with my new camera
I suppose this post will be rather short today , like I said am not feeling super kawaii with having a cold. There is nothing less cute that having watery eyes, coughing up ones guts and sneezing everywhere.
I hope to get some more blog posts done for you all since I have really neglected the blog. With any luck my creative Kawaii spark will twinkle back once I feel better!

Till next time stay super cute!

Kawaii Haul - Lets get organized!

Finally the post man has finally come with something interesting for me that is worth reviewing!

I have such a thing for having things in its place with all good intentions but some how it never stays in the place! I swear I have some little spirits that wait till am not looking and then they move what I have assigned what ever I have put in new place. *sigh*

Any way with my good intentions and keeping up with dates, am not the best at remembering dates, more like birthdays and my own anniversary! *Heh* So I found some interesting Kawaii items and placed them on order and they came in the post today! Woohoo.

So what I get? Well I got a Korilakkuma pocket folder- I need to buy a few of these to sort out my penpal letters and doodles ect. But I wanted to see what it was like before I buy a few of these heehee
Its so cute!
I got a matching Korilakkuma letter set. I can not get enough of Kawaii letter sets huhuh!!

The other things I got are like stickers...

But not just any stickers...

I give you Calendar/Date stickers! They have a see through part that you place over the date...so when you flick over your Diaries and Calenders, its like a Kawaii Marker instead of just using a pen to circle the date.

I got the cute Rilakkuma ones and some mini- mine ones with are really hand to use in a small Diary like my one. These ones have little rabbits and shapes, such as hearts circles and little clocks or tiny images of envelopes .  Kyaa too cute!

I think these little stickers are awsum. As you can see I use the book mark ones too with are also very handy.I hope lots more retailers in the UK will stock these as they would be so handy to have and use.
Not only for Calenders and Diaries for so many things like birthdays and events and dates to remember but for school work too, I guess the limit is your imagination.

I hope to get the rest of my organized items in the post next week to get my little work space set up. Then I will have to start on my next project. You can find these type of stickers at any Kawaii retailer.

Showing off some art.

Hey cuties,
So this is more of a mummy post but I guess it could come in handy for some of you. As a mummy I like to let chibi bean express her creative side, I think its cute.
We do pens, paint, make and crafting, but it was getting to the point where I could no longer display her pieces of art on the fridge. Not only that my magnets were starting to give up as chibi bean was putting piece after piece of art up on top of each other. I found while making a cup of tea I could no longer find a way into the fridge. I started to look for some ideas on the internet a way to display her cute art with out pinning it on the walls or the fridge. There was a lot of ideas but I found one which was like a huge sheet of plastic that had been set up into pockets to put drawing and even photos into it. For displaying and you hung it over a door or on the wall. But it cost quite a bit!

But I looked at it again and was like ...wait are those just not like multi polly pockets you would have in a folder! (light turns on above my head.)
So I grabbed a few of my old file pockets and stuck them together..haha that simple!

So you get the idea here are a few photos of our Kawaii Art displaying ideas.

I made 2 sets with 4 pockets each and tied on some string to hang them.
There is also a string with baby pegs with some of our photo's of family in the middle. Also a idea that can display photos or pictures. You can find cute pegs from Hobby craft .

It was really easy to do , Just some sticky tape and stick them together. You can hang these up anywhere.
We spend a lot of time up at the table so that's why we put it here.
Also I got a Cake stand for Christmas and I felt it was a bit to pretty to only bring out to use for just cakes soo..

As you can see it had become a bit of a display for all the pens in the pot , a home for Kitty and Mimmy and a place to keep the buttons. Yes our buttons go missing a lot so this is home for them...but they only stay there if I place them there. If some one else has...it can become a interesting game of find the buttons.
So I guess you could apply the idea to Posters or other pictures, maybe even penpal letters or something.
Maybe you might want to make different sized pocket holders and tape them in different shapes.

Hope you like the post!
